This was a period of time when the two weren’t getting along as well as at other times . I’m glad they worked out their differences . I’ve personally lost a lot of people in my life to similar situations , it sucks . But , it is what it is . I hate that saying but seem to use it more and more . I believe it is what you make it !

Mick said “the 60’s were such a long time ago”. How funny. This interview is in 1988 and the 60”s were only 20 years old then. Here it is 2021 and the 60’s seem like they were 100 years ago. Now THAT”S a long time ago. I’m 75 this year and I listened to the Stones in my teens. WHOA!!!!

@@mustafasheet9234 Probably roast beef, with whatever he likes on it, Maybe with a little Dijon mustard. On thinly sliced toasted sourdough, with a kosher dill pickle on the side. Tomato, purple onion and mixed greens if that pleases him. Bread makes a sandwich. When I was a child I got to hang out with Paul McCartney. He was very nice. My uncle Peter Heine was director of advertising for Billboard Magazine. After spending some time with Paul McCartney and Linda Eastman on the way home I said to my uncle "They seem like regular people to me." My uncle Peter responded "they are regular people, with exceptional jobs." When you meet somebody it's always nice to offer them something to eat and something to drink. I would enjoy meeting Mick Jagger. I have enjoyed this work since I was a child. I had tortillas with pate and salsa with Carlos Santana. Backstage at the Greek Theater in Berkeley. That is so Carlos. Graham Nash fed my dog spot lasagna. Food is relaxing it makes them feel comfortable. Bruce Springsteen wanted "turkey on a sweet sourdough roll with barbecue potato chips and a Coke - no cheese." I said "what are you on a diet." Quietly in front of the guys he admitted that he was on a diet. I said "are you fucking kidding me the potato chips and the Coke are going to kill you." Everybody laughed their ass off. It really broke up the tension. Bruce was only 26 years old and he was kind of uptight. He was already skinny. That was in 1975 before he hit with Born to Run. I was 16 Pizza with Marty Balin and Slick Aguiar. Roy Buchanan and Bob Johnston I never saw them eat once. Funnier than shit.

@@mustafasheet9234 So when I was little my father told me not to tell the kids at school who I've been hanging out with. he was afraid the kids at school would call me a liar and beat me up. So for years I never discussed my trips to LA. I had buffet food at David Geffen's place, spent the afternoon in the swimming pool and watch David Crosby smoke a joint by a tree. I was 13. I'm glad you enjoyed my stories it's fun to be able to talk about them. We weren't allowed to talk about things and we were forbidden to ask for autographs. My uncle said it made artists feel uncomfortable. But when you meet people then they become people. "regular people with exceptional jobs." You meet a lot of people in rehab too. See how funny it gets.

@@mustafasheet9234 Carlos Santana taught me how to roll the seeds out of marijuana in a cigar box when I was 10 years old. He was friends with Frank Warber Who had Trident records and the Trident restaurant in Sausalito California. Frank produced the Kingston Trio. I worked for Carlos Santana in 2001 at his studio in San Rafael. He had a big hit with Supernatural and gave the band the year off with salary. With the exception of performing one concert a month, usually at the Fillmore. Live practice to keep the band in shape. Carlos donated all the money from the benefit concerts to charities. Pretty cool.

Got to admit I have a new respect for him after viewing this. Grew up in the 70's and while never a big fan of the Stones (more Zep, Who, Beatles) when his solo album came out in '85 I realized just how talented he is.

I've seen many, many Jagger interviews, and this is definitely one of the better ones. Jagger was thinking about answers, and I think the interviewer was really good in his approach. But I knew that weird yawn thing was going to come when Keith was mentioned. He always does that kind of mannerism when Keith topic comes up. Edit: as a lifelong Stones-fan I do wish Jagger had kept 'evolving'. I know that is a pretentious thing to say about someone else; I can't think of another word. But we see him here in '88, and it all makes sense. He had become 25 years wiser, better, experienced. And then somewhere a few years later he just stopped moving.

Maybe now Alfred, but in the eighties stars like Freddie Mercury, Rod Stewart, Elton and Mick used to regularly refer to themselves as 'prancing' in a tongue in cheek way. In the same jokey way they would call each other 'dear'. Kind of hard to explain but it was sort of cool to use 'luvvie' speak ironically in their circles 🤷🏻 I know, it doesn't really carry now ☺

I'm positive that the interview date was October 22 (not 23), as Mick Jagger says it's the birthday of his daughter Jade "today" (she was born October 21, 1971). I guess it was still October 21 in the part of the world where Jade has been at the time. Also Mick was playing Sydney on October 21, here he is already sitting at Thebarton Oval as it seems.
