My favorite Mick Jagger story: During the mid-1980s, an intoxicated Mick Jagger phoned Charlie Watts' hotel room in the middle of the night asking “Where’s my drummer?”. Watts reportedly got up, shaved, dressed in a suit, put on a tie and freshly shined shoes, descended the stairs, and punched Jagger in the face, saying: “Don’t ever call me your drummer again. You’re my fucking singer!”

@Dapdoi Ardon that's not true though. Brian Jones was the one who taught Keith his unique blues guitar technique and convinced Mick to drop out of uni to pursue the band. Yes Mick and Keith have carried the band since the 70s but there would be no 'rolling stones' to begin with minus Brian.

“....is down to Jagger too often portrayed as the businessman in the enterprise, but in reality the single most successful performer in rock history, a man who's kept their world spinning for nearly five decades even when those closest to him have conspired against him. Or as that seasoned old Stones watcher Nick Kent puts it in his recently published memoir, Apathy For The Devil: "Without his relentless input, the group would have petered out after the recording of “Let It Bleed”. And yet somehow he always ends up the villain whenever the Stones saga gets recounted - the control freak, the cold fish, the cunning, heartless greedhead. It's become one big fairy story - the Rolling Stones as perceived by the World's media - with Jagger as the resident evil goblin." “

I have a older co-worker who is a real 60's nerd. Knows all about it. He joked he would never go see Rolling Stones today. They are a joke. I myself went to see them and was happily surprised. Offcourse the show does some extra and there are other musicians backing them up, but why not? They are old, have the money for it AND want to deliever a good show. Why not? Why shouldn't they? What is so horrible about 70 (+) men being backed up by younger musicians when people pay lots of money to see them? People talk about "real deal" and stuff while working as plumbers or laywers. Might never even touch a guitar. Go enjoy the show instead! Go enjoy yourself. That is what is all about! I would easily rate the show I saw as 3,5 / 5. Maybe even a 4 / 5. People who haven't been to a show or listened to an album by them for 20-30 years should ease up on the negative talk, I think.

Mick Jagger and Keith Richard's are super close. They know each other since teenagers......they have fall outs but man, they love each other like brothers. Keith is more of a home buddy now, loves to garden, remember , they are British

Jagger learned from the School of Hard Knocks after the Stones first signing bonus was put in a trust in their managers control. Mick and Keith didn't get the contract amount for 20 yrs.... London School of Economics had little to do with Mick's business sense

Mick Jagger did not always watch his money closely. In a bio of him it said he only started watching his money closely in the 1970's (?) when he figured he was getting ripped off by managers, promoters, etc.
