How could you have not heard or seen her cover of creep with postmodern jukebox. 110 million views, 58 weeks top of billboard jazz chart and quickly clean. Haley will blow your mind with her vocal technique

Probably Haley's best video as far as performance & audio quality is the ten minute video she recorded w/ her Dad, Harry, at Chess Records in Chicago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ7XpHt7qJeaZtk The video is just Haley and her Dad covering the Blind Faith Classic (Can't Find My Way Home) and an original song (Don't Know How To Love You) from her 3rd album, "Lo-Fi" Soul. You an hear all the textures in her voice in that recording. She has 8 or maybe nine of Postmodern Jukebox' top ten viewed videos. You might want to check out her most recent cover w/ PMJ, their cover of No Doubt's "Don't Speak". My channel has over ten years of live Haley Reinhart live videos if you're interested in checking out more of her live performances. I'm currently posting videos from Haley's recent tour of the Midwest supporting her latest EP, "Off the Ground" , if you're interested in seeing more videos like this one we video'd from Marion Illinois (with Haley's audio).

If there is a tragedy regarding Haley, it’s that she was born 70 years too late. She is however brilliant.

Haley did quite a few performances with Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), which puts a vintage spin on modern songs. Reactors have responded to these. PMJ's top video is Haley performing "Creep." It has 110 million views. Haley also recorded "Can't Help Falling in Love" for an Extra Gum ad campaign, which is now often used at weddings. It's been streamed on Spotify 350,392,892 times. They made a video that features some footage of her recording the song. Look for "Extra | Can’t Help Falling in Love with Haley Reinhart" posted by Mike Ronkoske (they pulled the original when the campaign was over). Recommended: "Haley Reinhart performs with her dad at Chess Records in Chicago." It is Haley performing "Can't Find My Way Home" and an original song, "Don't Know How to Love You" accompanied by her father on guitar. There is some banter in the beginning. Start it at the 79-second mark to start with the music. One more suggestion: "Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra feat. Haley Reinhart - My Baby Just Cares For Me." It's a live performance recorded at Capitol Studios in a club setting for his debut jazz album.

I'm a big fan of female vocalists going back to the beginning of recorded music. No one has ever sounded or performed like Haley. She is perfection.

Ah ah, I put Haley on par with IMO is the G.O.A.T, Ms. Eva Cassidy. Check them singing Chain of fools and see how similar their voices are, it is eerie.

I came because Haley is my favorite vocalist. I'm most impressed with your exceptional comments of her vocal performance. I'm of the opinion that she has great control of her instrument. So over the pandemic years I've come across a few who also have that mastery, but before I make any further suggestions, I'd like to ask if you're familiar with any of the following individuals. Diana Ankudinova; Giulia Falcone; Floor Jansen? Please let me know? Regards,

Wow this is wonderful analyses. Would love to hear more of this with other performances of Haley's - starting with the two songs she sang with her father at Chess Records in Chicago. She really blew the roof off with those songs!

My favorite artist, bar none! Her PMJ version of Don't Speak as a 60's song is gorgeous, and I have a real soft spot for her PMJ version of Lovefool. Great reaction, I Ioved the analysis.

Great reaction and dissection of this performance. Definitely a departure from most. Haley’s best performances with Postmodern Jukebox are Creep, Don’t Speak and Seven Nation Army. Her best original song is Don’t Know How To Love You.

Thank's for providing links to the performances you're reacting to. I hadn't seen this performance and had to switch from your analysis in order to make my own assessment of it. Haley does a sultry jazz ballad rendition of this piece a la Nina Simone. This is by far the most common approach by the very many vocalists who have performed this piece, even though the song's writer, Screaming Jay Hawkins, did a raucous R&B version original (1956). Haley is an excellent technician. But, I wasn't always on board with some of her interpretive choices, particularly at the end with melismatic runs going all over the place. Someone already recommended Haley's performance of Creep with Post Modern Jukebox. That's the performance to react to. it's superb. You recently analyzed to 9-years-old Angelina Jordan's performance of this piece. Angelina was clearly inspired by the R&B original. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how Haley and Angelina fared in their respective interpretations and their story-telling of this song.

Almost all of Haley's songs are brilliant, but my absolute favorite video is "Don't speak". I always have a lot of trouble getting my pacemaker out of the red zone after that. One day that video is going to kill me.

One of my favourite young female artists to date! Sassy, sensual and a voice that can kill! - Couldn't say it any better! So I copied your description, hope that's ok... - so may I hope for more Haley on your channel? That'd be awesome, you know I very much do like your style and approach when it comes to music reactions... peace and love from Bavaria! Please react to Haley Reinhart's original "Don't Know How To Love You", recording live to vinyl with Sascha Peres orchestra at a hauntingly beautiful location, an abandoned Grand Hotel in Simmering in the Austrian alpes... 💗This is so classy! My favorite performance of that song by Haley has to be the one in which she's accompanied by her father on acoustic guitar at Chess Records. I don't know if you've watched that one in particular, but if you haven't the link is kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ7XpHt7qJeaZtk Since this a 2 song performance, "I Don't Know How to Love YOU" starts at 6:49. In that there's not a lot of instrumentation, Haley's voice is front and center, so every nuance is there for the listener. Haley has so many performances on KZbin, the reactions could go on and on and on....
@Hundhammer
@Hundhammer Жыл бұрын
@@xdavidgoliathx5890 Of course I know that one, and love it as well, very intimate, but for me it's still Simmering I prefer just slightly though both recordings are great... Maybe it's because I live not too far from that spot and the landscape and all looks very familiar, it feels as if Haley was performing in my neighborhood :) And I love the atmosphere of the location, and the great orchestral arrangement... Maybe Scott could do a double reaction, that'd be awesome to put them side by side, the contrast is so beautiful - full orchestra vs. dad on guitar... 💗💗
@JeffTokayer
@JeffTokayer Жыл бұрын
@@Hundhammer such an extreme contrast between the 2 versions. The Sascha Peres version has an international flavor, where the Chess Records versions is very raw and intimate.
@Hundhammer
@Hundhammer Жыл бұрын
@@JeffTokayer exactly, and I want to see Haley shine live on a big stages, touring the world. As much as I love the intimacy of the Chess recording, it's harder for me to envision her at the Royal Opera House, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Istanbul or Tokio with just her dad... anyway this is great because it also goes to show to which degree Haley is able to adapt her performances to the circumstances and arrangements, which is an enormous achievement in itself...

Scott, Please give Lay It Down, one of Haley's originals, a review: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKLPpqKtdpKla68 She's teamed here with Casey (from same Idol season) Her Post Modern Jukebox recordings are clearly going to draw your attention and requests, since they have 100M+ Views of the jaw-dropping Creep, and Don't Speak covers. They are of course worthy of every view, BUT I don't see many vocal coaches or reactors reviewing this spectacular performance: Lay it Down!! 🤩
