Haley has that effect on people. The greatest vocalist today. Anything from jazz, blues or classic rock, Haley can do it. Aside from her nine videos with Postmodern Jukebox, Haley has recorded some original music on her own. She has appeared in movies and video voiceover. Her most popular recording is a version of Can’t Help Falling in Love, originally recorded for a Wrigley’s Extra gum commercial. It garnered her tv exposure, a platinum record and over 400 million hits on Spotify.

Welcome to the world of PMJ! This is a rabbit hole you are so going to enjoy! Their whole premise is to take modern music and do it in more vintage styles. They have had a number of guest vocalists over the years but this cover of Creep with Haley is the one that really out them on the map after it went viral. As others have mentioned, she also did Seven Nation Army with PMJ, as well as some others. Some of my many PMJ favorites include Stacy's Mom featuring Casey Abrams, Thrift Shop with Robyn Adele Anderson, and a doo-wop version of MmmBop! The vocals in Dream On will probably knock your socks off too! All About that Bass, Burn, Timber and on and on I could go! LOL! Also, they DO have some Christmas songs out there so you don't have to wait until January to watch them again. 😊

Haley’s specialty is jazz. She does this kind of bluesy jazz as well as lighter jazz with lots of scatting. Haley was third (I think) on American Idol for her season. She has done nothing but gotten better since then! I love her performances with PMJ. Her Idol buddy, Casey Abrams, sometimes joins them on standup bass as well as vocals.

Postmodern jukebox is a musical collective of rotating musicians and singers. It was put together by Scott Bradlee who is the pianist and does the arranging. He matches the instruments With the singers and the song. As awesome as Hailey's voice is my absolute favorite cover of any song ever is postmortem jukebox cover of Aerosmith dream on featuring Morgan James. It's another 1 of their songs that you're gonna want to tie your hands behind your back so you don't explode trying not to pause the video.

You are correct ... the tempo is different, but not in the way you think. Creep is normally in a 4/4 ( 4 on the floor ) time signature. PMJ performes it in a dragged 6/8 time... ONEtwo three FOUR five six....

I fell in love with her talent and was fortunate to get front row seats (5 feet from the stage) at one of her performances in a 500 seat theater. She kills "Creep" live just like the recording. I rank that experience with the likes of several Rolling Stones, ELP, Annie Lennox, Jethro Tull, etc concerts I've attended in the past. 40's post WWII style in quite a few of their interpretations and I'm OK with that. it hits all my nostalgia buttons just right. I love big band and crooners and all those great female singers that were sexy without being half naked. Enjoy this rabbit hole because every time you think you know what they do you get a bit of whiplash when they do something else. I love a band/ group that will service the needs of the song first and along the way they find their voice.

I don't recognize this vocalist offhand but she is pretty awesome. PMJ's done a lot of modern covers in styles from all over the first half or so of the 20th century. If I remember right they've got a 1930s jazz version of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" starring Wayne Brady that might be great for next October.

I never had any use for this song until Scott(piano/ arrangement) and Haley got a hold of it. For some whimsy, check out their collab on "All About That Bass" that also includes two other great singers(Morgan James and Ariana Zavalas), who also do solos with PMJ. PMJ's songbook is too extensive to go into here, but needless to say, dive into it for some other great performances.

This reminds me of some of the legendary ladies of old Hollywood, like Marlene Dietrich, their style is like a cats, roaring and purring, playing and biting, and i love it - something Postmodern Jukebox does so well is they recreate that feel and sound of bygone era’s , you know, you can hear a song and instantly think “That’s the 60´s” or “That’s like one of those slow songs from a cabaret show” and that’s not easy at all. Haley is awesome.... and her awesomeness is reflected in the stories told about this recording session. I've seen people comment: • Haley was on tour in Europe and this was the short time she and PMJ could connect for the recording. • No rehearsal • One take • Haley had a cold that day after that reaction, I'm curious to see the reaction with Morgan James covering Dream On.... You are right about this being a performance, it’s just a number from their touring show captured on the usual single camera on their day off. PMJ is a touring ensemble of rotating artists with next level talent. No auto tune or effects. There’s hundreds of vids on their KZbin channel, if they are in your area you really need to go to one if their shows. Saw them in Sweden last summer and Effie Pasero is the current vocalist performing Scott’s “Creep” composition on that tour , it’s hard to imagine another vocalist singing this in a entirety different way but she put on a stunning performance in her own interpretation of this arrangement, exquisite
