St. John's River, my dad used to take me and my 2 brothers, and some salesmen that used to call on him at his Electrical Supply store...We used to stay at a fish camp, I wish I could remember it's name, but those were the best times of my life.. RIP Dad, we miss you.. Great content Scott, love watching you fish, good AND bad days of it..!

I just bought a skeeter as well. I could not be happier except when I have to lower the motor and power poles to get in and out of the garage. It's crazy scary every time.

Crazy you got on a shallow striper bite in May in Florida. Post spawn they normally go to colder water to survive the summer

Here’s a tackle tip for you. At 26:50 in the video you pick up the swimbait rigged on a flashy swimmer weighted swimbait hook. I love using those and they work great for me. But I like to modify them a bit. I take some snips and cut the wire between the hook and the blade off. Then I reattach the blade to the hook with two split rings and a good barrel swivel. Doing this puts the blade closer to the head of the swimbait. I think the fish eat it better and my hookup ratio increases. It also leaves less material for grass or moss or whatever to get caught up on.

Something I've been curious about, since you seem to get new electronics every year with your new boat, do you have a memory card that you can transfer all your old way points from every lake? Or do you just have to remember the good spots you've been to and start all over?
@tylerhollier331
@tylerhollier331 6 ай бұрын
I think he keeps them on a card and transfers them every year I’ve heard him say in previous videos he’s fishing waypoints from like 5-10 years ago

Had 1 tournament that had a shad spawn, managed to snag several trying to spawn with my gold booyah spinner bait that matched them perfectly. Lost biggest bass I've ever had hooked.

I needs some topwater blowups in my life! Stripers do jump btw. Especially the schoolies. When I was a teenager I fished for stripers on the California delta with my dad every weekend or more sometimes. I’ve had times where the stripers would blowup on my spook with so much speed that they would sometimes knock my bait 3 or 4 feet into the air. Then the bait would land and another one would explode on it and throw it! Eventually one would get hooked ha. That was probably one of the most memorable striper fishing experiences of my life.

Shad spawn bite is a dangerous thing to put your fate into. If it works for multiple days you're good, but if it doesn't, you're scrambling
