Scotto’s ’72 big block-having Napalm Nova has been in the background of countless shots on our channel for a while now. Sometimes even in the background of his own new project builds. But after catching enough heat from all of us for not getting it running (and catching a new nickname, thanks to Hert), El Gigante is turning a new leaf in 2021: getting more of his cars on the road, than NOT on the road. And that starts with the Nova. So, what mechanical mountains did he have to climb to get this thing ready to shred again?

I have learned from a couple of buddy’s who are super old school and the best way to fill the cooling system is through the intake where the water neck goes. It’ll fill the block before the rad and you will have less of a chance to get a big air bubble.

Congrats Scotto! That's got to feel sooo good to drive the Nova again especially with the cooling hopefully sorted. It's got to be incredibly frustrating having cool projects like this but a lack of time to work on them. Plus every joker online giving you a hard time... I really dig this car and am surprised how much I like the smaller rims. I think it deserves to be more than a mere burnout car. Whatever you do, I'd like to see it street driven.

Fun fact, cascade dish detergent will clean your coolant system better than anything else. Pour 1-2 scoops in and run up to temp. Then drain while hot. If needed repeat.
