I've followed your work for a long time and these new tutorials of yours help So much. This one especially. You make a potentially hard to achieve look appear to be so much easier to pull off. Of course this comes from plenty of practice but the methods alone are such a big help.Thanks a lot man can't wait for the next one:)

Hi Scott, I just wanted to say that like all the other people here I really appreciate your tutorials, they are very informative and help me a great deal. I am currently studying your videos re shading surfaces and hopefully I will become a great artist as well someday. :) I wish you all the best!

Sorry, I should have written it. The "Fresnel" effect. You can Google him or look it up on Wikipedia. Thank's for the support in buying my books. It's what makes it possible to do these FREE Tutorial Fridays. It's pretty simple, the more books you buy the more tutorials you shall receive. Thanks again!

Hagai, no because chrome surfaces do not show matte surface value changes. This is why it's actually the easiest reflective surface to render, no Fresnel effect to worry about.

Hey Scott, the only retailer in the Netherlands is bol.com which sadly does not ship the hard cover editions. Good news though that other people can enjoy these books with hard cover !

Hi Scott. Can you make a video on the approach to drawing anything! And one on using reference in your paintings/drawings? P L E A S E!?
@scottrobertsondesign11 жыл бұрын
Somewhat. The book is much more comprehensive. My 3 drawing DVDs are like 2 or 3 of the 10 chapters in the book. I think the book does a better job of explaining the techniques and thought that goes into design drawing.

Scott thanks so much for this tutorial! just wanted to know- do you have to to render the form as a matte surface before making it look like chrom?

Hello Scott, I really like your work. Your renderings are amazing, I was wondering what tablet you use? I intend in purchasing one.

Hi Edwin, I work on a Wacom Cintiq. Currently I'm still on my older 21" model.

Awesome, Thank you! I'm a designer myself and your work is a great inspiration. I should probably begin using a tablet since I've heard many great things and the work that comes from them is amazing. Just takes a ton of practice.
