What is the part # for belt? Or what did you type to find belt? Also is there a replacement for the belt keep up near PTO? I found belt now need part for belt keep any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to Google S1642 and find a few sites that have the specs of the mower, or oprn the hood and there should be a sticker (hopefully not worn away) that will list the parts for it.

The 96.5" belt seems way too small for my 1642h Scotts, is there any reason that might be?

Drive belts on a hydrostatic system are always tight and they're under a pretty good Spring tension watch your fingers .
