Cheap riding mowers don`t last long because of the thin mower decks, but the motors last a long time, so converting them to fun riding machines is a great idea!

I think they make the deck cheap on purpose to sell more mowers. I would like a thick stainless steel deck, but good luck on that. Thanks for watching and yes they are great fun.

@@chud327 I just now replaced a 2003 Kabota diesel lawn tractor with 1800 hours on it, and I only did it because I wanted a zero turn, but that thing is built like a tank all over including the mower deck. Of course I did pay $6300 for it 20 years ago.

Purchased this to replace a guide pulley kzbin.infoUgkxO9seYZjlnuP5UvMkb7osQW3WxPVeSnPk on our John Deere x304 snowblower. As I stated in the title, it is just about perfect. The stock pulley has a spacer at the bottom. I used four washers to emulate said spacer, and it works perfectly now. Great product, and great price especially if compared to typical JD prices.

I would love to get a set of the rear wheels you have. I'm in Australia and parts are just so expansive for old lawn tractors. soon i will try sprocket and chain and gear it down a bit via a Jackshaft or just Install a CB250 engine as i only use the Cad Cadet to check the mail-box 1.5 km drive-way it a long walk from the house.

The rear trans axles have shift keys that when put through the ringer just sheer or chip away replace them and the problems fixed

If you are talking about where the rear tires go on the axle, then no keys. The FNR's have flat spots on the axle and wheel that get rid of the keys. Thanks for watching.

Been tinkering with mowers. I have a Murray 10 42 it's not hydro. Also a Husqvarna with a 25 Kohler command. The Murray has a neat low profile but no frame. I guess I will know soon enough if it can handle the larger engine and a pulley swap . Lol

You should try to take the small pully of and replace it with one the same size as the other pully then you can go fast and have your PTO still be the same speed.

What I did is I cut the center out between those two pulleys and I actually put the two pulleys together and then put the piece that was in between the two pulleys on the bottom and as far as on the back goes with the splines you take the original pulley off go to tractor supply find whatever pulley size you need I think the smallest they have is like a 3-in and I believe if I remember right it's either inch and 1/8 or inch and a quarter diameter on the splines and then you just got to weld that on
