Cheap riding mowers don`t last long because of the thin mower decks, but the motors last a long time, so converting them to fun riding machines is a great idea!
@chud327 Жыл бұрын
I think they make the deck cheap on purpose to sell more mowers. I would like a thick stainless steel deck, but good luck on that. Thanks for watching and yes they are great fun.

@@chud327 I just now replaced a 2003 Kabota diesel lawn tractor with 1800 hours on it, and I only did it because I wanted a zero turn, but that thing is built like a tank all over including the mower deck. Of course I did pay $6300 for it 20 years ago.

Purchased this to replace a guide pulley kzbin.infoUgkxO9seYZjlnuP5UvMkb7osQW3WxPVeSnPk on our John Deere x304 snowblower. As I stated in the title, it is just about perfect. The stock pulley has a spacer at the bottom. I used four washers to emulate said spacer, and it works perfectly now. Great product, and great price especially if compared to typical JD prices.

@@chud327 ha ha i caught it! i saw lil Junior flip that gov. coming in the driveway lol nothing but fun, nothing but fun i also live in the deep South, im in SC and watching this brings back so many memories of my childhood riding go karts, 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers, mopeds etc.but this is a new kind of fun, and something you can do with everybody, (family friends), man i remember me and a buddy of mine we used work at this campground on the beach and we use to take the John deere gators in our leisure time to scour the camp ground for misc. you know (tv's, grills, radios, etc etc.) and sometimes they would tell us to check the storage yard, man that storage was massive! there was a road about 3/4 mile long a straight road at that... perfect dirt drag! and we would take them gators and cut loose with them, i pass him up then he'd pass me up, we had dirt and dust kicking up and flying everywhere we race them gators most of that summer of '99 chud until one day our supervisor pulled up on us.. some employees ratted us out of jealousy, and they banned us from the storage yd.after that so whenever i watch videos like this it just takes me back to those days, and not to mention hopefully one day soon in the future, as im thinking bout taking the deck off of my 2007 Troy built super bronco w/19.5 hp Kohler "courage" and go this route with her it's easier and cheaper plus i keep me about 1 ft. of chord in my pocket like i used to back in the day riding in them gators lol.

I had the same problem and then I hit with the impact wrench, that popped it right off. Do you have an impact wrench? Thanks for watching.

Had the same problem. There’s two small wholes in the pulley, I just tied some wire through the wholes an onto the axle, then I was able to undo the bolt.

Can a pulley swapped mower like this still be used for mowing if the deck pulley stays the same size?
@chud327 Жыл бұрын
You can, but you would have to keep it in first to mow and may still be too fast. I am planning to try it, but not this fast, thanks for watching!

Just wondering if it is bad will it break it do you think or is it ok. Also I took the blade deck off and it has quite a big belt so I am using the belt of it then cutting and drilling holes to sow together. Also I watched a second time cause forgot what size bolt to use and couldn’t find it does anyone know what size bolt?

What I did is I cut the center out between those two pulleys and I actually put the two pulleys together and then put the piece that was in between the two pulleys on the bottom and as far as on the back goes with the splines you take the original pulley off go to tractor supply find whatever pulley size you need I think the smallest they have is like a 3-in and I believe if I remember right it's either inch and 1/8 or inch and a quarter diameter on the splines and then you just got to weld that on
