Nice work, great vid. For running your dropper cable along the left side of your derailleur cable under your top tube: daisy chained small zip ties. One goes around the derailleur braze-on horizontally and with enough slack in the closed loop to fish another in it vertically. That one encompasses your dropper cable. The two small loops will change the orientation and the cable runs clean. No big zip ties around your top tube. Good strong little zip ties in the color of your bike, of course. Keep a couple in your patch kit set up in case one day they pop some day. Clear as mud? Cheers.

just got it! can’t wait to use it since i usually ride long uphill trails and long downhill tracks, i’m not a big fan of xco so this dropper should be good enough!

Great vid my friend mine is on the way .. putting it on my dh bike reason is I ride the gravity runs in reading pa at the pagoda/ fire tower on ski line dr and rotary park tied of pushing the bike all day long this way I don’t have keep raising and lowing my seat post by Allen key … finally getting smart and doing it the right way hell these posts have only been out for twenty years now 🤣😂…. Biggest worry is gonna be the length of the ks post I need it to be no more then 9” most dh bikes have a short seat down tube

This was very helpful since I have a vintage bike build that has no extra cable guides.

Great to hear. Yes, vintage bike projects Are a perfect fit for this kind of dropper seat. Glad we were able to help a bit. Thanks so much for watching.

I had a KS EXA Form 125mm a few years ago, it worked OK. The one thing I didn't like was the lowering or rising of the seat the post would have some sticktion to it. Does the new version that you are reviewing have sticktion issue?

Do you have to pull the dropper post to raise it?

Is it possible to adjust the inclination of the saddle with it? I would like to use it on a road bike and I don't see the double screw to do it. Thanks

Hi, have you been able to use it much and could you answer some questions for me? as I'm looking at gettin one. Does it have a Schrader valve for air pressure or is it just a pre loaded cartridge inside, meaning the pressure is not adjustable? I noticed splines on the saddle rail clamp, are you able to tilt the saddle backwards or forwards to adjust your seated position with these splines? As I noticed there's only one bolt rather than the usual two. Is there much side to side play in the saddle after it's fixed in position? Thanks

You're seat clamp is on backwards lol

Hey nice vid! Would this lower under the weight of an 8 yo kid you think? Or too firm?

Do you have side play on those KS droppers?

Nice one..too bad they don't have it in 27.2mm diameter...the only one available is the e-ten, which is around the 100$ marker, not the price range I'm aiming for...i think 60$ it's a decent price for this kind of dropper, 100$ it's a bit overpriced, at least for me...there's also the XLC SP-T09 that looks kinda similar, but again it's over the 100$ marker in the size I'm looking for...also I'm not eager spending money on wish nor aliexpress for a cheap knock-off, not my cup of tea...so, still searching...

I have this post in 27.2 and was able to find it on Aliexpress for around $60.

was really considering this but holy cow that took almost 4 full seconds to lower, so lets assume the 125mm version will take 5 seconds.....5 seconds riding rough singletrack with only 1 hand on bar...no way. hard pass for me.
@ScottsGarage3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree. Five seconds is way too long for a post to lower during a ride. This may be an air pressure issue. We’ve noticed things get much more fluid over the last few months of riding. Still isn’t as lightning quick as some of the higher end dropper posts, but this one is worth the money in our opinion.

just needs lube on the stanchions. might also require to follow the max torq and use a torq wrench for the clamping, I know theyre that sensitive, I ordered a 150mm travel one for my fat bike too. waiting :)
