I will never forget having SCOOPS on my iPhone in college. It was a very simple game that used the iPhone gyroscope to stack ice cream scoops on a cone. Sadly the developers never updated it and it's been lost to time.

As far as i know the Asphalt series actually started as games for the Nokia N-Gage with Asphalt 1 and 2 released for it in 2004 and 2005. The port for NDS and the "advanced" port for PSP were afterthoughts if i recall it correctly. So Asphalt originally wasnt meant to be cheap or free.

Back in 2012 I had a 3D screen phone, and some of the games in 3D were phenomenal. also, I loved how it turned all the videos in 3D without glasses. It was a gimmick that was a trend for a couple of years, for TVs as well, but I really liked it for a phone.

HTC Evo 4G 3D? My dad got that release month on Sprint. I remember him having me play the Gameloft Spider-Man and one of the Asphalt games to see how it ran 😂 The 3D pictures were a cool novelty too.

I love Final Fantasy Tactics. Loved it on the PSX and loved it again on the PSP. When I saw it was on mobile (Android) I couldn't wait for a sale. I bought it on sale maybe 6 or 7 years ago and just can't find myself wanting to play it. I always install it when I get a new phone but never actually play it.

I’m honestly surprised the *WiiU* didn’t get games released just for the touchscreen. Imagine playing just with that… which’s what I legit thought the WiiU was at first. A mobile gaming tablet upgraded with a wii. Which honestly is a better idea than the WiiU which I wouldn’t be surprised if the switch got a tablet version at some point.

Mobile games are very complicated, but maybe you should have started your trip on memory lane on palm games, there was an app named roach, that showed a roach running on your screen every time that you turned on the device, I couldn't find it for mobile, I remember that the best apps were a port of a tactics game, I don't remember the name, palm bubbles, a basic puzzle game and the legandary sand, that one was ported to android.

I really enjoyed the mobile GTA ports. Ive beaten them all on original hardware, switch rerelease and the mobile ports. I hate to say it but the touchscreen controls on the mobile ports actually pretty great. Id normally always prefer controller but touchscreen was pretty accurate.

Honestly my favortie way to play console games on mobile was with a phablet/tablet and a Bluetooth controller but for actually convenient on the go gaming I'd actually enjoy, i would use MyBoy GBA emulator and stick with all of my childhood favorites i miss from the gba era. Its a single screen, naturally feels almost like a GBA SP when in portrait mode, and has well established titles made for that form factor. No analog buttons still sucked but if you were an iphone user you had the option of the gameboy case that had the analog buttons.
