Honestly I respect the No Man's Sky devs. They tried something really ambitious, had a flood hit at one point among other issues with development, and launched a poor product. However, unlike most devs, they actually went "oh shit our bad" and fixed all that with regular free updates for years

The standard PS5 box says 8k in big bold gold lettering. There is no 8k on PS5. There isn't even faked 8k. Then 8K was used in the PS5 Pro's marketing. How is Sony not sued over this?

it technically supports resolutions up to 8k its just NONE of their titles are supporting 8k and fake 8k would be just like something higher than 4k which its hardly hitting in graphics mode. basically the ui is 8k is the main thing.

Because it’s 8k compatible but they aren’t actually capable of reaching 8k because they are incompetent

I mean, it does theoretically support 8K, it's just that almost no games actually try to reach resolutions that high because not enough people have 8K TVs, plus it'd be extremely hard for more demanding games to reach. Thus, no point in advertising it.
