I had a buddy years ago who had a '66 Dart with a 273 and a 4spd. He new how to drive it too. Had some good times in that car tearing up some country roads. Thanks for bringing that old Dart back to life.

Those are nice days for us in Wisconsin because we already went through a snow storm & the low yesterday morning was 14 above & the high was 28 with the damn wind blowing . It should still be in the mid 50s for us but are getting screwed by old man winter already lol. I still need to add some extra leaves to the front springs on my plow truck so it sits better with the plow on it but I just can't seem to get motivated enough to go outside & get it done & over with because I hate the cold now because of my psoriatic arthritis I have . I have heat in my garage but it's full like yours is so I can't even get the front half of the truck in so I am at least off the gravel in my driveway . I love your dad's response when you said probably send dad under to get that old busted off bolt out lol. Keep the videos coming they are great !

Didn't you hear me slapping on the trunk lid? LOL! True story: years ago I worked for a supply company, & one day I had a huge delivery (by huge I mean we were stacked 2 levels above the top of the stakes on my truck - one emergency stop, & it would've been a $5k disaster). But I digress - I made it safely to the building's loading dock, & this dock must've been built in the '30's because I had to open the rear doors & lower the tailgate BEFORE backing in. I told the guys in charge of unloading: "Look, I can't hear you over the diesel - so you'd better do something to tell me when to stop." I also couldn't get out of the truck once I was backed in - so it was up to them. Well, it ended up almost like your video - back up 'til you hit something. The only victim was a special order toilet tank cover :) Fine job on the replacements though - you only broke 1 bolt, that's a win in my book.

I'm sorry I was hypnotized by the cam sound like you were. Next time I will be on the ball. Sounds great I'll know what to expect for mine if I get lucky to get it for the right price that you have said to pay for it. Good night and stay warm. 20° degrees here at midnight almost. TTYL love the sound of the engine with the cam you got.!!!

After seeing the bent bolt and shackle this really needed to be done. This might help in handling some and other stuff I dont know about. Too bad you cant get clearance enough to back it up enough to shut the door. Dang its cold here in southern Oklahoma burr so I know its even colder in Kansas. I still like the Yard Dart it does sound great with that cam. I believe she is setting up a little bit higher. Yeah the homemade shackles sucked.

Hey Jed what are you got those High Shackles on everything you own no wonder why all your leaf springs are flat. LOL I thought people stop putting those on their cars in the 70s. I know it’s not apart of the video, but I’m just gonna add to not putting disc brakes on the rear of Jezebel, my tiny ass little Ranger has disc front and rear, for what reason I don’t know why it comes like that, and stopping pretty much everytime no matter how fast I go the weight transfers to the front pretty much everytime, back when I had a full size Ram the drum brakes in the back didn’t ever really pass for registration standards but even those brakes were way better than a ranger that weighs like 3300 pounds with maybe 150 horsepower
@ScottsSpeedShop
@ScottsSpeedShop 3 жыл бұрын
I have driven older cars like my charger with 4 wheel disc and it is massively overkill and to go along with that, I don't like going through the windshield when I stop. The car needs to retain it's day 2 vibe and disc brakes in the back kill that. Plus think back to the original version of Jezebel hopped up 440 and manual drum brakes all the way around and I never had a braking issue. When drums are set up right, they are just as good as discs

The rear wheels look really close indeed, and this could because of a couple of things. 1 would be that when the cut the wheel wells, they didn't do a symmetrical cut, 2 would be that when they installed the rear end, they moved it forward in the wheel well as well. I am running a much bigger wheel/tire package than the factory could ever allow
