Excellent setup! I’ve done something similar - with a strat and a small digital sax (Irin S56). The strat goes into its bag, with cables and strings - and everything else including a Cube-Baby, a 10W JVC speaker, an 8” windows tablet to run vsts… and a shedload of cables… all fit in the sax bag. I’m too old to be bothered with carrying a combo everywhere…. I want to make music - not a heart attack!

Less is MORE!!! I just got a Neural DSP Quad Cortex. BUT….imma starting to use just an iPad.

Nice! The Quad Cortex is insanely awesome. My travel rig used to be my iPhone with JamUp app and an iRig. But I found the hx stomp was better and easier imo. But all are great choices 🤘

Check out the Hotone Ampero footswitch. It looks and works great and is just $20!

Great video...but... where do you put your other stuff?... iPad, looper, guitar, mic, stand, PA, etc???? I am looking for a solution for compact, wireless, battery operated and self-contained gigging system.... BeatBuddy, looper (Aeros and/or Quantiloop), guitar (with Fishman Midi), iPad, Hx Stomp, VoiceLive Acoustic, mic, stand, cables, Midi pedal (AirStep), Boss S1 PA. So, I keep looking for a packing system that facilitates busking to small venues. I look for expedient setup/teardown and minimal configurations. Any thoughts?

That’s quite a lot of stuff to be “portable.” Everything has its limitations
@lgovantes1
@lgovantes1 Жыл бұрын
@@ScottUhlMusic All of the stuff are the "tools". My quest is to organize the "tools" into tool boxes" based on the gig without having to spend a lot of time reconfiguring and recabling and at the same time reducing the number of tool box(es).

Also, can I use more software tools on the iPad and reduce some more hardware? Are you proficient with connecting iPad apps? Any videos you suggest?

Im thinking ab grabbing the stomp, have you ever ran into a situation where a venue didnt have a FOH mixer? And then you had to run the hx stomp to a cab? If you where to pick a power amplifier to compliment this rig would you go with a PA amp, bass amp or something like the seymour duncan powerstage?

I’ve never ran into that problem to be honest, but 99% of the shows I do I use in ears. So I’m usually good. But you can always get a cab just to be safe as well 👍

@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for the reply! Yeah I am trying to down size my studio since I don't really do any work and I am trying to get out and land some gigs instead. I've only heard good things about the HX stomp, is creating a patch from the front of the box pretty intuitive like would you have to have your computer to get a nice patch going? Great content btw :D

It’s super easy to program a patch on the HX stomp. I don’t actually use the computer to do it, it’s really intuitive for sure.

hi! what can you say about the wireless system? is it worth it? my bass player has it but he is not as picky as i am when it comes about tone. i had the experience those cheap wireless system would suck your guitar tone...
@ScottUhlMusic

If you are interested in the cheap plug and play ones, you can watch my “master” video on those cheap ones here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2OUaWaDm7-KnbM I do address my philosophy on tone in that video as well. If you are looking to spend the money and get an amazing wireless, this is the one I recommend that I go over in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJ2peKFsdt2ap6M Another option kind of between those 2 is the Shure PGX model. I used that for about 5 years and it’s pretty amazing, as long as you aren’t using 5 or more wireless on the stage at once (and all the receivers are somewhat close to each other). Hope that helps 👍

Very informative video! I just finished my portable rig with a GT-1000core (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGXbapSVfpdgZ5Y) when I came across your video. I will see if I can replace my BOSS WL-20L with the ammoon wireless system and how I can squeeze in a G4 IEM instead of the Rode Wireless to work around the 2.4GHz shortcomings. Thanks for creating the video!
