I live out in the country near the local lake..... surrounded by hills.... Valleys and mountains.... on Sunday mornings I use to set up my old school....PA system.... 4 Peavey SP1's.....4 Peavey SP2's and 4 Peavey SP3's.... powered by 2 Peavey CS -1000's and 4 Peavey CS-800's... my wake up call to the community was.... cranking the PA system up to the max and playing the song.... Ghost riders in the sky through it.... it would echo through the valleys..... people said they could hear it as far away as 5 miles away.... the location of the lake.... some said they heard it even further..... that I don't know.....I think they just stopped by to get a cold beer?....l had the law called on me several times by the neighbor's.... they would come out and tell me to quitting it down.... they said it didn't bother them' that they enjoyed the music and looked forwards to stopping by....but you know how some people are.... I would have people from the lake stop by from time to time and tell me the same.... said it was their 8:00 am wake up call when camping out. I ended up selling all the equipment because of the neighbors constantly complaining..... I miss my Sunday morning ritual.... been thinking about getting another PA system.... this looks to be a very good deal..... getting 2 set ups would probably get me back into the routine of doing the hobby I've missed out on for the past 8 years.

Just got one a couple weeks ago, and it’s great! Light weight, and has been plenty loud so far! Only thing I wish I could do, is use different effects on each channel. Would love to apply some delay to the guitar channel only.

Hi question. is it not possible to get a signal back from the FOH. a dry signal of course. and use it for the IEM. Thanks

@2112RushTributeBand4 сағат бұрын
you deserve that cool gig for what you do for "the community" Scott,, great stuff on here as usual, been looking at that Resort in particular because it is one of the only ones (only one?) that is all inclusive ADULT... are you going to be playing there again next year?

Came here from the Turks and Caicos video...great stuff as usual, I appreciate learning what to do and what not to do based upon your trials and tribulations... and I mean that with the utmost respect.. thank you! Ps global entry instead of basic TSA is only 20 bucks more and you fly through Customs when you get back home if the airport participates in the program..worth the extra 20 bucks to get all TSA offers plus the added benefits coming back to the US.. even though you have to go for a pre-interview prior to going on the trip.. unless once you are approved in the system (you will get notified of "conditional approval" you can instead do "entry upon arrival interview" when you get back the first time

Hey Scott! Great video as always! As far as the sennheiser IEM packs/plugs go: I use a Shure P3T/P3RA system and want to do the same by possibly ordering an SXLD3 since they run on similar frequencies based on Shure's G20 band for the IEM system and G58 band on the SXD3. Do you know anyone that has already tried this? Thanks for always putting out killer content!

Hi Scott, Nice detailed review here. This device looks interesting. Some inquiries: - Can the Expression pedal be set as a Pitch Shifter?
@juliusgreshake84719 сағат бұрын
Great and thorough review, I also loved the quick overview in the intro! Personally, I would love a version of this that caters more towards live electronic musicians, so maybe only one mic input and then a buch of stereo inputs for machines like the Elektron Octatrack or similar machines. The inability to add FX on the last input is a shame, I would have loved to use this box as a final "mastering" limiter.

Very good vid overall (I also got M-Vave gear from Temu). I’ve had that irig device for years and you’re right that it’s designed for older devices that have built-in TRRS jacks - and on those, like my iPad 6th gen, it does work. However, maybe what you called not working because it was heavily distorted is just the low quality of it as an audio input - because it uses the mic preamp meant for those earbuds w in-line mic, it’s going some circuitry to try and make the impedance of the guitar signal work with the headset mic preamp. I’m not a guitar player, I’ve used it w synths and drum machines and also found it to be low quality. I’m not sure what my point is.

Thank you Scott for this review. Very informative and an interesting idea. I am curious as to how well it tracks from guitar to a DAW. With this in mind, what is the latency say at 128 and what string height would you suggest is optimal for tracking?
@ScottUhlMusic18 сағат бұрын
Thanks! And the latency wasn’t noticeable, although not using Bluetooth will help it for sure. And string height can be tricky, but it’s nice that it has the ability to set the sensitivity per string based on each player and the way they play 👍

@Scott, man...this video is awesome! I'm getting more experience with in-ears, and my G4 system, and this is my go-to video to explain things. So, thank you again. One quick question...When I activate pilot tone, the green RF light on my beltpack goes off. When I set pilot tone to inactive, my green RF light comes right back on. Is this normal? I'm running in mono mode. Thanks!

Great channel Scott. I one issue with this post. As a drummer I use a Behringer P1 with Westone triple driver in-ears because it can be set up for stereo, as well as mono. I power my P1 with a One Spot 9v power supply. However, it also has a 9v battery inside. I adjust my own mix wirelessly with an Ipad.

I always wondered if these Shure mics where just a hype, and what makes them so special that every podcaster use them… might be because they give it away to most of them, creating the hype? What happened to the old sm58, there is a big improvement in sound quality? What about your new favourite mic, how compares to that one. Cheers Scott
@ScottUhlMusic20 сағат бұрын
Nexadyne is my favorite mic for live. The sm7db is my favorite for studio. This one is my favorite for travel. I’ve always been a fan of Shure. But as long as you find a mic that works for you, that’s what’s important. Funny you mention it, I just finished a gig today and my singer had an sm58 and I had the nexadyne and he goes “why does you mic sound so much better?” And he asked to switch lol
@Andrew_OКүн бұрын
Yup, looks like a great plug & go for mobile podcasters. Sometimes you just can't drag all the extra processing or waste time on it so this looks like will get most people somewhere useful quick & easy...

This might be a very stupid question but here goes. You use a router you bring; does this router need an ethernet to connect to ethernet at the venue or connect wirelessly to the venues wifi? Or is it it's own entity? Example this router is just turned on and you plug in everything else to this device. Sorry for the dumb question but I am unclear.
@ScottUhlMusic20 сағат бұрын
It only connects to the mixer. Thats it. Not the internet 🤘 then when you and other musicians connect to that WiFi network, you only get access to control the mixer

Hi, thanks for the informative video...just finding this now a few years later. I did have one question here and that is, if I search to buy a Sennheiser EW 100 or 500, all the listings show me a box and then either 1 or 2 of these units here you have in your video. I'm a little confused as to whether what you are showing here is a transmitter or receiver. These look like transmitters, but you seem to be using one as a transmitter and one as a receiver. Would love some clarification here. Thank you! I'm trying to find a solution for wireless transmission from DJ mixer to PA speakers. Thanks!
@ScottUhlMusic20 сағат бұрын
Yeah they all look the same with sennheiser stuff. it’s pretty confusing. They normally sell this as a “lav mic” set, or a film set… and then I get the cable for it to work with my guitar.

A bought that systeme, i have some issue , no1 when i turn it of my transmitter. Then i put it back on, im lossing low, high frequency ajutement, and llimter also, even if i saved the preset, and i recall that preset , i got same problem. No2 i have considerably white noise, specialy when im increaseing the receiver volume , is there a way to drop that white noise,or its normal? Thanks
@ScottUhlMusicКүн бұрын
I don’t have that issue with mine. I would check to see if it’s what it’s plugged into or switch cables, etc. and make sure your gain is set properly. All of that could lead to those problems. If that doesn’t fix it, you might have one that just needs to be replaced. My drummer also just got this one and he loves it and doesn’t have that issue either. Hope that helps!
