You guys are adorable. You seem healthy, drug free and in love. You have no idea how lucky you are. My partner died in 2007 and he was a 27yo marine. He survived Iraq only to be killed by an "accidental" overdose from the meds the VA was giving him... I suffered a nervous breakdown and went to therapy for several years. I'm just not the same anymore. Enjoy every second together because life is very fragile....

I could not because we did not have the domestic partnership papers signed and I was a total "stranger" in he eyes of the law. If I could, I would sue them not for the money but to punish them and then donate the money to another charity. Also all the young men who enlist they do not read the "fine print" that says that they sold their lives to the government and in the event of wrongful death the max amount of compensation to their family is $250K. The doctors I warned several times that the cocktail of these meds lead to death according to a letter the FDA sent me, kept hanging up the phone on me after he died and they were never punished by the VA or the State of CA. Read the story here, I involved all the media and caused a lot of bad publicity for the VA: www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2007-mar-12-me-vet12-story.html The media coverage revealed the VA in West LA was "accidentally" killing 3 to 4 vets each month with the SAME coctail meds regimen, who had no families in town to sue or cause the publicity mayhem I caused. They kept burying them and kept quiet - what hey did is so criminal, I do not know where to start...

My guy told me he loved me after our first date, in a letter he sent me. He went on and on for 8 pages, and in the last paragraph he was like, “so, I love you. Goodbye.” Honestly, it freaked me out a bit, but he was such a shy little naive guy I knew if I didn’t acknowledge this he would just shut it down. I knew that if we were going to keep seeing each other I had to be kind of on the same page. So, I called him, and after a long conversation I told him I was falling for him. Fortunately, we kept dating and ended up together. This is our 33 year since that awkward I love you.
