Well, I bought my 2013 Kia Optima hybrid used, with 54,000 miles on it. It’s had a few problems 1) replaced the A/C 2) replaced the Hybrid battery fuse twice 3) replaced the coolant reservoir hose, that melted away because of where it was laying up against. It has 230,000 miles on it right now with the original engine and hybrid battery, runs just as strong as the day I bought it. YES, it was also Made in South Korea. That all said, I think Kia has come a long way and has earned a little respect for a car. They definitely can always improve what they have, but I’m actually pretty excited to see this new truck they got.

Ford and Holden closed shop in Australia when they had some of the best selling sedans and wagons in Australia. They both had and do have a cult like following. But a 4 door mustang can't replace the Falcon or Commodore due to its impractical design and the price tag.

Nova Scotia has a lot of Tundra's, including my I laws. They are fine for regular use, but any truck work, they have issues. My father in-law is not a "new" stuff guy, but he goes through Tundra's about every 5 years. And no, he doesn't sell it trade them, they become lawn ornaments.

I recently bought a 94 ford ranger 2.3L inline 4 with a mazda 5 speed stick, and I'm fixing it up. It's a little single cab with a camper top. I wish Triumph would make a smaller motorcycle in the 600 cc range. Their new 400 cc Indian made motorcycles are already having problems according to some. Others say they're good. There aren't enough models with thousands of miles for us to know if they're really good. I don't really like gigantic heavy motorcycles that weigh over 400 pounds. I love my scooter that weighs 237 pounds. Unfortunately it won't go fast enough for the highways. Maybe that's a good thing. :) 66-91mpg using a carburetor.

I had a 2005 KIA Rio SX5, big name for a little car lol. Truth is, I really liked that car and if KIA actually produces a decent frame truck I'd buy one, of course I'd wait a little while to see how things shake out on any problems, but still, if they do it right they will probably make a bundle.

To be fair, the dollar is worth at least 100% less since 95 to 96, so these numbers actually kind of track. It was reasonable to buy a truck for 25k but, not a steaming pile of radioactive dogturds.

During 1995-1996 I was selling brand new little Isuzu pickups for $8995.00. They were tough little trucks with very little frills and people gobbled them up. Back when Nissan was still Datsun they did the same thing and were eating the American car companies for lunch. There is absolutely a market for plain, workhorse trucks but the automakers ignore it and sell high priced crap instead.
