the fact that Phil's Pantera voice has shot it is no major loss, he can keep this up live no problem as it's in the low note register. His gruff vocal rasp is something most aspiring death metal vocalist are spending hours in their basements trying to hone.

been waiting my whole life for this band, ever since I fell in love with death metal at 14. had already been listening to pantera since I got my first cd player at 5 yes old along with a copy of far beyond vulgar and live 101, and kiss rock and roll over......and the soundtrack to the lion King lol was gift from my grandma. pantera has always and will always be my favorite band. I also loves all of phils projects, big superjoint and down fan. I like his black metal projects but there aren't to many songs, some of them are old school almost mayhem or darkthrone or sound like a horror movie they are very cool but I've been dreaming of him doing a full album death metal especially, black metal would be cool as well. after I heard about the illegals I figured he prob won't do anymore extreme metal side projects. and one day by the grace of satan I was hit with this. fucking great phil is the hands down the best metal vocalist of all time his screams and growls are the best, and he has greeting singing skills versatility. his super deep natural voice, personality and attitude make him perfect for the job. I honestly did not expect that he would have done something this melodic for a death metal band, I love it thought would have sounded different, maybe more like obituary. thank you phil for bringing me so much joy in my life and providing the best outlet for aggression.
