+trenton proctor YES! I agree; and have always been influenced by Phil.....But Corey Taylor bows Phil away! POINTBLANK...Phil got a little too much on the SOUTH direction. Atleast he's trying to OVERCOME the Down side of ROCKBOTTOM

+Gabac Herig personally I think Corey has a great voice but to me their too different to compare, Corey's screaming is a bit cleaner and is probably more "marketable" where as Phil has a very aggressive and abrasive style to his vocals. also I'd be willing to say Corey has a better "singing" voice but let's be honest, pantera wasn't famous for beautiful clean vocals lol

+Jacin Green Corey cannot compare. There is no way in hell the man, even across his whole career, would ever be able to sing both this song, Shattered, Great Southern Trendkill AND Temptation's Wings. Never.

+Toni Mayes Cheers. Do u or anyone else out there actually know what is happening with Down? Phil & Jimmy hve done the new Superjoint album, plus Phil has done the Scour EP & Jimmy EHG shows. Pepper is back with COC. They hve only made two of the five EP's that they said they would make. Are they on a hiatus or finished?

@@obw1r3d Nothing in OP's statement was against Phil or even I'd go apeshit. I also agree with OP that Layne's voice could also fit here. It's a hell of a compliment, in my mind, man. Two great voices over a great riffmeister's tune. For that matter, Pete's would've fit here like in Just Say No to Love. I'd throw in Ville Valo. All great voices. RIP to Layne & Pete. 🤘🤘

I remember reading in a interview back then when Tony İommi said that he recorded 3 songs with Phil Anselmo but could put only 1 in the album (also recorded 2 with Billy İdol) i wonder how those somgs with Phil sound, he needs to release those songs or even better, make an album with Phil Anselmo. Cause this is sick! I remember the first time i got this album i got stuck at this song, i listened to it like 10 times in a roll!

Irishman, I was expressing a feeling and not an intention. But thank you for your kindness and self expression that helps expand and uplift humanity. I have been clean and sober for 28 years and I help people get off of drugs a day at a time. Your reaction was very timely as I had a conversation last nite at a drug treatment facility about people who slam others by not allowing them to self express. Reality can be a bitch but love, patience and tolerance, in my book, always win out. Keep the faith.

Sabtera... Sickness... Funny how Tony's style would have jammed In Pantera and works perfect here.. I'd say Dime would fit right in with Sabbath or Ozzy solo stuff .. Lot of Great metal around , but Pantera and Sabbath just can't be touched.. Just like AIC and Tool are the best of their genres those are the only two other bands that come close for me, where you can look or listen to the whole catalog and say wow this was perfect and a force for a long time and forever.. Not many filler songs or bad songs in any of those bands. I agree Tony made alot of people play a guitar.. And Anselmo is the ultimate metal singer ..gracias
