The "Grey Ghost" CVA Scout chambered for .45-70, modified with a Boyd's laminated stock and topped off with LR 4-16x44 glass. Cartridge build is 14.1 grains of Trail Boss over a 325 grain cast pure lead bullet (NOE mold) that I powder coated with Eastwood Chrome, cold water quenched, and then sized to .459". Zeroed in on a 6" plate @ 100 yards, looking for "minute-of-torso" hits and the old eyes got a nice 3" group - that'll do just fine and for me and that's purty good with powder coated bullets that're typically not all that accurate in rifles. No time or ammo left to work on 200 yards, that comes next week, weather willing. Back to the reloading room!
