Hey guys I have a question, I'm fairly new to airsoft (sorry in advance for the "nooby" question) and I want to prepare for my first ever airsoft skirmish at my local site, now the question is how many mags should I carry? & Back up BB's? I'm thinking of running 5 mid caps (120rds each) & 1 high cap for back up (400rds) would that be enough?

I forgot to mention before that it will be woodland type environment. I'm not too sure how long each game lasts (I've sent an email to the site asking) but for now I know the venues total duration which is 6 hours. How much spare BB's should I take with me?

SiTheBugski if you have it bring a small back pack with a 10000 jug (at walmart for about 20 dollars) and 4 high cap mags and reload those clips when you have the chance and when theirs no other option (dont get caught in a fire fight reloading mags)

SiTheBugski well it depends what type of player are you are you a sniper or machine gunner so if your sniper better safe than sorry so 600-800 machine gunner 2000

scoutthedoggie if you ever have the time or have to go there for any reason, airsoft has really been rising in popularity there, and we have a nice array of really nice fields! I highly recommend checking them out one day, the only minus i think could be for some people is (with 1 or 2 exceptions) that the fps max of any replica may not exceed 360. Keep up the great videos! Not only fun to watch but have also taught me a thing or two! (About airsoft ofcourse )

I realise this reply is probably a bit late, but I wasn't sure if you'd found the make & model. It's the HTs-14 made by Hephaestus. It's a gas blowback that was part of a limited run of about 500 guns, so you'd be lucky to find on still available at a retailer. That was me in the video with it, btw. ;)

Soon™ I'll be getting my first aeg. Going for an ICS Par MK3. Heard a lot of good things about ICS and their split gearboxes seem to be pretty darn nice. Been asking around for a while & some people working at airsoft stores here in Belgium recommended ICS as a good brand (ofc not TM) but still good :)

PHENOM yeh ive heard many good things about the ics too. i like the externals of the g&p but the internals are apparently not up to specs with the price. which is a shame because the price is pretty high but i feel only the externals are good. the krytac is pretty new and ive heard only good things about it but i would much rather get a split gearbox so i think i will be going with that.

ICS was the second gun brand I ever bought, loved the split gear box. If Im at an airsoft site now, I usually have at least two ICS guns with me

A g&g m4 combat machine is said to be one if the most sturdy guns on the market and it's only around 150 bucks. Some people have had them for years and they still work like a charm.

Elite Force M4 CQB/Carbine G&G CM16 Raiders KWA CQR Mod 2 ASG ArmaLite M15A4 Carbine Airsoft AEG Rifle (Not well known but I LOVE it) Just a few, but they're all really good for the price and they're all under the 200$ mark, so you can upgrade the gearbox or barrel how you please. that extra 100$ will give you room for upgrades. DON'T FORGET TO GET A SLING! People complain about gun externals but the fact of the matter is the drop them.
