For me, the Foundation need to experiment the following tests: -reproducing the notes into a normal piece of paper, if this copy (SCP-012-02) will have the same effect of the main one...they need to investigate to the origin of that "symphony". -take SCP-012 into the SCP-049's chamber... because they have the same geographical origin, maybe they have something to do -take SCP-012 into a chamber of an SCP without brain or blood (for example SCP-066 or SCP-999) -give to a Class D that is approaching SCP-012...SCP-500 -take an artificial and functional copy of SCP-012 into SCP-914

One thing about this SCP that really doesn’t work, is the logical leap that, even though many people have tried to complete it, nobody has found a way to end it. One of my favorite things about the SCP foundation is that each SCP isn't some unique phenomena the foundation has scientists with names which appear in multiple SCP pages, and also there are tests where SCPS interract with each other, like 012 and 682, how they're trying to constantly terminate 682 using any scp available.

Little theory that the "voices" one of the D-Class complained about was the voices of the previous victims demanding them to complete it. This would explain SCP-012's chaotic nature in that the song's notes are complete madness. It's all being written by hundreds, maybe even thousands of people, screaming at one person to complete it the way *they* want it done.

Actually useful tests that they could have tried: 1) Provide test subjects with alternative writing implements (possibly while taking steps to make self-harm more difficult). Is self-harm or writing with blood inherently part of the compulsion or is it incidental to the extreme compulsion to finish the composition at all costs? 2) Remotely sedate/incapacitate and extract test subject after brief exposure. Will the compulsion remain after losing consciousness and being separated? 3) Remotely sedate/incapacitate and extract test subject after brief exposure, then treat with amnestics. Does the compulsion remain? These tests are also likely to result in death or insanity among D-class personnel, but they are more likely to teach you more than how many creative ways people can devise to kill themselves.

I appreciate that the crimes of the D-class are mentioned; even though half of these tests I wouldn't wish on anyone, it reminds us the lore of how D-class members are 'selected'

From what I gather being a member of the ethics committee at the SCP foundation is kind of like being internal affairs and any law enforcement facility. Nobody wants to do it, but somebody will always be required to fill that position.
