Also, the piled up bodies that Herbie saw and the ensnared deer found in the tunnels, could have been provifing sustenance to the infected not in Site B, like the captive humans were inside the church.

If I had to guess. SCP-610 isn't related to Sarkicism Sarkicism is instead related to SCP-610. Not like in any kind of canon, I mean that the concept of the flesh cult could have very well come from THIS flesh cult regardless of the original author's intentions... beyond obviously wanting to include a shadowy flesh cult in the story. Like you said, it lines up WAY too well to be a coincidence, but a 5 year gap is too much for it to really make sense any other way. I'd say somebody read the full SCP-610 story a few years after it was created and decided "you know what... this gives me a really fun idea I want to write, lets expand on this faction."

One of the authors of the early Sarcic stories even said that the Sarcicists really did not create SCP 610 but really wish they did. My personal headcannon was that SCP 610 is a Deavite bioweapon that predated the Sarcic revolt of Ion.

I like to believe the author's original intention of 610 being an anomalous skin disease that is shrouded in mystery. Nothing against having it connect to Sarkicism in some way, it's my favorite Group Of Interest, but it feels better when there's so many unknown variables into what it is and how it was made. Plus, the later makes it feels a lot more like the basic "Sarkics bad, Broken God good" idea a lot of people have on the group, when in reality it was WAY more complicated and misunderstood.

Considering the Hooded Figure collapsed into a pile of clothing right as the tower of Flesh appeared in the church, i always figured the Hooded Figure was little more then a Puppet for the Flesh, it's insides are just another flesh pile, but with significantly more control and intelligence. Perhaps controlled directly by the main "hive mind" or source of the flesh is, while the other infected individuals are autonomous and mostly uncontrolled.

I don't think the author for SCP-610 will ever confirm or deny the connection between 610 and Sarkicism. You don't redact the entire climax to your narrative unless you really want to preserve the mystery and maintain the fear of the unknown.

I much prefer the non sarkic one because it leaves it more mysterious and I think that if you fully explain the origins of an anomaly it stops being as anomalous, I know that this cube can create and destroy matter and as such it is anomalous, us knowing that it was made by god for the purpose of making everything makes it more explained, and as such less anomalous, and as such less interesting

I prefer the sarkic one because there's so much "mysterious spooky stuff with no answers " i can take before it becomes stale and boring Sarkicism on the other hand despite being mysterious and horrifying Was expanded enough that it has its own cultures, subcultures mythology, i find the fact that its become this complex and interesting world of so many fascinating and compelling and often horrifying groups(not just the sarkics) and the ability to explore them is genuinely the sole reason i adore SCP But IT IS SCP and that means if you like the murder monster with no explanations needed You can In fact I reckon 96% of the articles today are like that And most of the fanbase barely knows anything about what i just talked about anyway And thats okay Noone will stop you from enjoying this amazing universe in your own way (Other than those annoying nerds who keep saying their way is the right way and SCP used to be better when it was this and that and blah blah blah)
