I love how accessible the animation style makes this kind of content. I love it and it's so interesting but I'm very skittish and easily haunted for days by urban legends and this sort of thing so I have to avoid it even if I'm curious. But this animation makes it a lot more comfortable, even if I do get scared sometimes lol.

From my observations? SCP-080, Is a predator of Shadow-Like Mass. Like a slime monster and anyone who views it only see a large figure with only spotting two eyes. Also SCP-080 main source of food is feeding off humans fear by inserting person anxiety and fear to something causing people a mental stress.

It would be way more effective if the D-class were Briefed in a situation where they aren’t meant to die. They already know that they are in danger so they can understand the situation and give better results. That’s the best part about more recent scp foundation articles. D-class are still treated badly, but they are treated like employees more often than before. They are given what they need to complete their mission with as little chance of failure as possible (with cost cutting features of course)

So maybe they could have let them know “hey don’t let yourself go to sleep or you absolutely will die.” They also could have let them out as frankly even outside of the ethics element the waste of resources is abysmal

My fear of the „dark“ is very situational. Usually I can sit in a dark, quiet room however sometimes I feel paranoia, as if something is watching me, which only in that situation would I use a night light or hallway light.

I used to be so scared of the dark. Growing up I have this memory of my Barbie’s walking around and moving while they thought I was sleeping… is was weird. Idk if it was a dream or what but it scared me so bad I started telling them I loved all of them before I went to bed so they wouldn’t hurt me when I went to sleep lol.

I also have this memory of waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I had fallen asleep on the couch with my dad. I had to use the bathroom so bad. To get to the bathroom I had to go thru the kitchen but it was so dark. I stood in the doorway and I could just tell something was off. I tried to wake my dad up for so long I started to cry. I finally got the courage to just go. Half was they the kitchen out of the dark I seen something running towards me. I backed up so fast and it looked like a black dog. But it was bulky and looked weird. I ran back to my dad and went back to sleep. Looking at the doorway the whole time before I passed out…?.

That story of the agent having the water nightmare reminds me of one I had once. Deep water already scares me, but in this dream there was a giant megalodon-type monster trying to take over the world by flooding it. Then it cut to me underwater, and I was being eaten by the thing over and over again, until I woke up

I think maybe I've encountered 080. I used to see this shadow figure, and usually when I did I would have these surreal dreams that felt so lifelike and they left me unsettled whenever I would wake up. I haven't had those in years though, and I also haven't seen that entity since then either

Funny how you can go from sluggish running in dreams, and unable to flick on a light by a switch, to being a lucid dreamer as you get out of your teenage years. Now flight, telekinesis, and even phasing through walls can be called upon in my dreams. Objects you need can be just willed into existence, just look down, or nearby, and what you want is there.
