I had very bad sleep paralysis when I was younger due to some poor lifestyle choices. I found this terrifying. Genuinely a little afraid of going to sleep. Haven't felt that in several decades. Especially the way they worked in the whole "if you don't move in 30 minutes" thing. Because the only thing you can do when you're in that situation is remind yourself it's not real. This SCP robs you of that. Shadow people ain't nothing to f with.

@@viderevero1338 it is unusual. Most of the time sleep for paralysis is just an annoyance or just pretty awful for most people but that's about it. But for those unlucky enough to have the perfect storm for it it can get truly horrific. My brother had it when he was really young and he would throw up before he slept almost every night for a couple of weeks when he was really younger before it stopped. Lucky enough for him it only lasted a couple of weeks I guess I'm in The unlucky side of genes in my family. This story is eerily familiar. When I was a little boy, I remember my first bout of sleep paralysis. I lie there on the bed, staring into the darkness of the ceiling. There was a pressure growing on my chest, and it became harder to breather. A figure appeared in my peripheral vision, but I couldn’t make out any details. Just a dark shadow and the feeling that someone was there. At first, I remember thinking it was just my mom, since sometimes she would stay with me in my room to help me fall asleep. I often suffered from night terrors, after all. But that’s when it occurred to me. She didn’t stay with me that night. She was out of town visiting my grandmother, and she wouldn’t be home until tomorrow afternoon. Also, my father was passed out drunk on the living room floor again. No, this wasn’t my mom or dad. At this point, I felt a cold hand press itself against my forehead. It felt like wet leather, and it smelled like it too. Long fingers wrapped around my skull and began squeezing it, tighter and tighter, till I thought my head was going to burst. I tried to scream, but nothing came out. The pain was unbearable, or was that just the fear? It’s hard to differentiate the two in situations like this. Then I heard a crunch. The sound of my skull cracking. The pressure grew stronger and stronger after this, it felt like my head was filling up with warm water. I remember thinking how it could be the yolk of an egg, in such a shocked state. Then another crunch and the pain went away. There was just blackness. It was a seamless transition. At this point, I didn’t feel scared anymore. I was… I guess the best way I could describe it was I felt at peace. I woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache. The light from the window stung my eyes. But that’s never happened before, since the sun doesn’t rise from... I realized that I was in the hospital. My mom was there, tears in her eyes. She was happy to see I was awake. I asked her what happened, and she just muttered “it was daddy, he is going to jail now, sweetie.” I reached up to scratch my head, it felt very itchy. There was no hair. Just a bandage wrapped around my skull, and a thick brace around my neck. This couldn’t be happening. Why would dad do this? I closed my eyes to cry. And then opened them, in my room. There was no injury to my head, there was no sign of thrashing about in my sleep, either. Usually there would at least be a pillow on the floor. My mom returned home earlier than I had expected, because I could smell eggs cooking downstairs. I was relieved it was all just a terrible nightmare, but it felt so real… About 6 months later, my dad died from a car crash via DUI. He drove into a telephone pole, and smashed his head on it, since he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. It was a closed coffin funeral.

I used to have a recurring Nightmare where I'd walk into my room and once I was in the door would be slammed and I'd be pulled under the bed and it went on for months and I was so scared to go to sleep or even go in my room when I was awake and eventually I got used to it and I'd start realizing I was in a dream and purposefully go find a room with a bed so I could get pulled under and wake up and even after the Nightmares stopped I'd on occasion have dreams where I'd realise that I was dreaming and I'd want to wake up so again I'd open doors till I found the bed so I could scare myself awake. Man, that takes me back. Had a lot of nightmares when I was little, up until I was a teenager. The worst nightmares were the ones, where I was at my home, my parent's house. I learned to actively avoid it as I know that things would go really bad in my dream, if I woke up or approached my old home in them. Then there were always the things that hunted me. It was even worse when my father appeared in those dreams. I was often terrified of him in real life, and more so in my nightmares. So I learned two things: #1 How to pull me out of and wake up from any kind of dream. #2 How to manifest all kinds of weapons and firepower in my dreams to crush anything that tries to harm me.
@jamaul13912 жыл бұрын
This is definitely based on sleep paralysis, I've experienced those exact feelings before, the the loud screeching sounds, unbearable pain, seeing what you fear, feeling as if your eyes are opened and being able to see your room but in reality that's just your mind, your eyes aren't open, you aren't actually moving, I know that my eyes weren't open cause I had sleep paralysis right next to my father and when I said I saw him and was trying to get his attention by moving my legs and hitting the bed but in reality I only lifted my leg once, he said my eyes weren't open I was just there sleeping like normal, I hardly get them now but is has gotten harder to get up from, before I used to just raise my leg and I'm awake, now I have to be moving my legs as fast as I can just to get my heart rate up to get me up, and for the pain I feel, it's like having a knife plunge into your back, but when your are awake, it's all gone, the screeching sounds are just too much, it be so loud

I remember having really vivid and horrific nightmares as a kid (5-8). What was odd was as I got older (13-16), I started having the same vivid nightmares in the same order. This time, however, I started fighting. Anything from beating the shit out of the monsters to the dream itself. An example was when I got in my dad's truck, I remembered how that dream eventually turned into a nightmare. I turned to my dad and said, "Dad...I know this is a dream and how it's going to turn into a nightmare. Do you mind if I talk to my brain or whatever to stop it?". He stopped smiling and pulled out his phone. He made a call and started talking with someone. He said something like, "He knows." And passed the phone to me after a moment. I grabbed it and put it up to my ear. I heard something breathing heavily on the other end. I asked "Hello?". I didn't hear a response, so I stated that, "It's time to wake up.". I think the breathing stopped for a second, then continued. After that, I said, "Thank you!" and hung up. I looked over back at my dad and thanked him. He said, "You're welcome and goodbye.". I instantly woke up after he said that.

I had something similar. I had a dream where a monster would run up the stairs from the garden. I would pull down the shutters and lock the glass door to stop it. It would claw its way into the living room but I had just enough time to run to the stairs that led to the second floor. I would run up the stairs but fall and then crawl up. The creature would grab my anckle and try to pull me up. Sometimes I died, sometimes I made it to the secobd floor where I would sit down with my parents and it would disapear. I had this dream around a hundred times in total until I started fighting back. I slowly became a lucid dreamer until I cut off its head with a katana after a few times it got scared and left me alone. Now over 10 years later I am a lucid dreamer who has almost full control over his dreams and can manifest weapons out of thin air in my dreams to defend myself.

Plus I would often know when it would come like I could almost hear it, a low drumming sound similar to an old generator just starting up. All those strangely it didn't and did have the ability to put me to sleep in a way. I usually was able to get out of bed. But I think it was just a vivid dream it was unusual how it almost seamlessly blend with reality. But I would try to run down to my parents' bedroom but they would be gone. That was also the same as for my sisters, while I was a little kid. With the beds perfectly made almost like they weren't slept in at all. It caught me on numerous occasions and I even spoke to it numerous times it always claimed that it wanted to eat me. But strangely enough I would pass out from fear and wake up in my bed drenched and sweat. It did not really eat me directly, strange enough instead I would try to avoid being pulled into a swirling Mass that often formed around the window closest to my bed. I always kind of thought those were vivid dreams. But one thing that stand out. When I was a little kid I used to be very good and put my toys away in my toy box. But every time when it came I will find my toys all around the room like they've been played with. My mom got mad at me a lot of times thinking I didn't put my toys away but I was absolutely adamant I did.

I really feel Dr Bob has brought SCP to its next level. The artstyle, the storytelling, and the narrator all came together for something that stands on its own. It's a whole new dimension to the community that's reminiscent of a Monster of the Week show from the 90s. I love this channel, it's so unique and well done. You have something amazing in your hands with this Dr Bob, be proud of this.

Ye, Dr Bob did good job On vid, however 280 is much More sinister and better than this one, i feel like they just copied this one from it and tell its different when it is very similar

In order to terminate it, we will simply need John Wick. Because we all know that "John is who you sent to kill the fucking boogeyman".

Your work never stops improving. Keep it up man! The eyes on the wolf look fantastic, the voice acting is improved and has more emotion, plus minute details like where the pupils are or the mouth of the wolf have a lot more movement to them.

May I ask for the soundtracks you use? They are so atmospheric I would love to listen to them between episodes. Great work btw, I eagerly look forward to every episode!

Now I wouldn’t call the animation quality amazing but Dr. Bob is quite literally the only horror, creepypasta, SCP channel whatever that has animation that is visually pleasing. Every other animation scp channel had cheesy animation and narration that tries way to hard to be scary by trying to be deep and creepy.

When I was a young child, I’d lay in between my parents because my room wasn’t finished being furnished and redone. This one night I was laying awake while they slept and I saw this black figure in the doorway. It would walk in the room up to the bed. I’d be so terrified I’d shut my eyes and when I opened them again it would start all over. That night is seared into my brain
@ghostgamingxd78812 жыл бұрын
Most likely you had bad dreams during this era and your brain is creating false memories , which is very common and happens to most people , false memories can feel so real but in reality its your brain putting logical pieces to a unique creative puzzle and thats all it is.

@@ghostgamingxd7881 Damn but it just is something I’ve always remembered and would pop up and my head every couple years. Maybe it morphed into this memory over the years.

Whenever I feel alone and empty, Dr. Bob always puts out a video uncannily related to whatever I've been feeling. There's something about the storytelling that's so comforting.
