Please for all that is sacred get over your fear of spiders. These animals are NOT the abominations that human works of fiction portray them as. To spiders, humans are just giant lumbering predators to run away from. Just leave them alone and don't antagonize them. It's that simple. Also, never to take these fictional depictions of spiders seriously.

One time when my Mum was in bed asleep she woke up to the feeling of tickling on her face. In her groggy state she brushed away at her face, but the tickling did not go away. It was like snowflakes or dust were pitter pattering. Then she woke, adjusted her eyes and -- immediately screamed! For what she woke up to was a fresh egg sac that had just hatched with millions of baby spiders falling from the ceiling all over her bed. My Mum developed arachnophobia that day.
