I was a "Gifted kid" because I loved reading, both in my native language and english and had (And still have) a huge interest in STEM. Now I'm at uni struggling my ass off because I am no longer taking exams I can easily pass with pre-existing knowledge and I have never needed to actually study for any exams, so I never learned how to study, so now I'm at a point where I need to study but don't know how to do that, beyond just forcing myself to read the material over and over again and hoping stuff sticks at least until after the exam. I would have a MUCH better time if instead of getting to uni without having to try even once, the difficulty/level of my education was adjusted to make sure I would always be learning stuff I didn't already know, even if that means teaching a middle-schooler to do basic calculus, because 1) I would have probably already heard a lot of concepts I'm learning about in uni and 2) I would have actually had to study for stuff and TRY and with that I would have to know how to study by now. And while yes, not having to put in any work compared to my peers all the way through highschool was a big confidence-boost, but I think I would have gotten the same, if not an even bigger confidence-boost from learning material that was 2, 3, maybe 4 years ahead of what I was supposed to be taught

Id say with that, and like the old school learning games, they make the lessons fun, small and bite sized enough to retain it, and with the lessons, lunch and breaks is to break up everything to where you are well rounded in all areas. And just now in these past couple years, education and doctors as well are just now realizing this, you cant just put a kid in front of a teacher and regurgitate whatever is learned, you have to make it practical and fun if you want it to stick, and not just shove it down their throats.

the education system these days is a joke. the old "back in my day" is a collection of words i find myself using more and more XD. even basic knowledge like how stainless steel and aluminium don't mix. aluminium motor block with stainless steel bolts to hold the carter. yeah that's not going to work. it will chemicly react. corrode and get stuck together. (so the only way you're ever getting it out is destructively) while back in the day. they used galvanised steel bolts. and these do NOT have that issue. (just forgotten knowledge or something) when i went to school and learned how to use a lathe. they gave me a block of tool steel. pointed me to a grinding wheel and said. go make your tools. (and ofcourse taught you how to do it) . these days they use hardened steel tool bits. (so you basicly replace the teeth with a premade piece wich you cannot make yourself) so nobody knows how to sharpen a drill or any kind of metal working tool. but it doesn't stop there. they aren't even allowed to replace the toolbits themselves. they have to get the teacher and the teacher will undo the torx screw. turn the hardsteel plate around 90 degree's. and then fasten the torx screw again.. the kids aren't even being taught how to do that. no wonder when ever they hire a new kid that they keep breaking the plates and shit. or over tightning them so they strip the torx bit. just useless. why even bother with school?. they have to relearn everything when they begin working. schools these days seem less about teaching, and more about giving them a little bit of everything so they can choose the direction they want. but they have to learn everything on their own. while getting distracted by all the other courses they will never deal with.

I think the inspiration for this SCP is the fact that most people (especially kids) learn better through technology than one on one classes. Educational games are effective in teaching kids due to being both audio and visual media, with sounds and graphics that appeal to kids' minds and are more interesting that kids will remember it. They're also structured in a way where it's easier to memorize and be engaged in the subject. There's fun game activities related to the subject, songs, and simple patterns in the program that a kid can easily pick up, not to mention a reward system that can interest the child to keep learning. A game in general is also more appealing to a child rather than a boring lecture. The game is also more consistent and expertly crafted so that the child learns efficiently, compared to a more messily made lesson by people who are not well versed in appealing to children. Idk how much better I can explain it, but even I learn better through media than irl. Great SCP based on real life situations!

I also have problems listening and whenever I couldn’t do something right, they would tell me to just do what I want, mocking me mercilessly. There are many Safe class SCPs that do nothing but benefit other's. I forget the numbers but there is a Pizza box with the anomalous effect of providing the exact type of pizza you are hungry for. Or a bell that summons a Butler who does what is asked of him. Most Safe class SCPs have things you are not allowed to do, but they still have lax containment and are open to low-level employees. I want Miss J to be real. School, (online school as well), would be way better with her as a teacher. It seem like having her as a teacher would actually be fun and enjoyable. Wholesome teacher SCP needs to be protected

One of the first SCPs I read the files about, my gosh I'm jealous that Miss J and/or the game aren't real - I love how this SCP is an example of "just because it's an anomoly doesn't mean it's harmful" and man, imagine how lucky one would be to have had access to this SCP in the SCP universe

"Not all monsters act like monsters..." -Sun Tzu ... Wait sh*t this ain't Sun Tzu-
@andyvassileff65923 жыл бұрын
Here's a more interesting question. What exactly makes a monster, a monster? How do you define it? Diet that is dangerous to your species? Looks? Personality? That is determined by your mind specifically, or even of a group. Not everything has an answer and we shouldn't always question it either. If we didn't have so much knowledge and some people lots of power, then the world would be a much better place.

Seems like "Miss J" is less of an anomaly and more like an accidently created "Specialized Artificial Intelligence". Not a "True Intelligence"/"General Intelligence" like a Human being, but an extremely flexible and even creative program that specializes at a specific task, in this case Teaching. We use millions of such programs already today, some very primitive, some extremely complex like the KZbin Censorship Algorithms and the Google Search Algorithms. O.o
