I agree 4999 deserves to be mention on this video. Its an SCP that exist to take away one of the common fears involving deaths: The fear to die alone.
@mommy24712 жыл бұрын
fun fact: they are dying alone, thats why 4999 is there. and i dont mean alone causes 4999 to show up or anything like that i mean that 4999 is literally no one. hes nobody. hes THE nobody. and all those people are dying with NOBODY at there side, NOBODY to comfort them, NOBODY to care for them in there last moments, NOBODY to see them off.

I've written (in high school) plenty of stories of Thanatos on how he makes the dying feel like they leave life in the embrace of a friend by staying with them until they pass and escorting them to the here-after. 4999 reminded me of my vision of Thanatos adapting to the modern world.

SCP-6868 is pretty wholesome too. It’s a purple rubber duck with social anxiety. The curious thing about it is that when it touches any sort of liquid, the liquid becomes purified and generates pink soap bubbles, which can turn into toys that move on their own. These soap bubbles apparently taste like strawberries. The drawback of this SCP is that when I say it can do this to any liquid, I mean any liquid, which includes blood. So have fun with that.

SCPs 4999 and 2295 were both new to me and quite touching. When SCP-6330-2 appears, SCP-6330 begin to move and draw from an unknown space wooden weapons, habitually a wooden sword and a wooden shield. However, the possibility of the SCP's death has been once witnessed by SCP scientists secretly watching a bedroom with a child and a form of SCP-6330: This time, the nightmare took the form of a dragon, and managed to perform to the Teddy beat what would have been lethal damages for humans. In a last-resort trick, the plushie then pulled a wooden gun from nowhere and shooted the monster at point blanck range, killing it instantly. However, after cleaning the bedroom and disposed of the monster's body under the bed (never to be found by the searchers after the examination of the bedroom.), he did something inhabitual: he began to write a letter for its child. A farewell letter, because he was badly damaged and lethally hurt during this last battle and could not fulfill his role of protector of his child anymore. Even though, he claimed in this letter having had marvelous moments with the kid and je wished him to continue having a formidable life... But without him to project the child from nightmare now. SCP-6330 then went back into the bed, hugged its child in its tiny arms, and then... He didn't moved anymore T_T

@@terrykrugii5652 There was a tale featuring 4999 that I can no longer find. Basically, it was the girl who was turned into a “doll” and left by 4666 (i.e. The Yule Man). Even the Foundation agents who took her statement couldn’t bare to see this innocent girl die in such a sorry state and excused themselves from her hospital room. Then 4999 appeared. He reached for his cigarettes out of reflex, yet thought better of it and put them back in his pocket. He walked up to what remained of the dying child, her eyes removed and sewn shut by Krampus’ other prisoners. She was scared, calling out to ask who was there. And he reached out to her and lay a comforting hand on her. And in that moment she was no longer cold. No longer scared. She thought of happier times with her family and for the first time since 4666 had taken her to its icy lair, she was finally at peace. Within minutes she gently passed away. It was a beautifully somber scene and I have no idea where it went.

The wiki has decided to make the site completely creative commons license compliant, and will be removing that iconic image. The original artist of the piece, had actually given them permission to use it on the wiki still, but not the creators of the game, hence 173's model change. Still, the site has made the decision to remove it as they wouldn't fully meet the compliance by their standards with it up.

Sometimes I just question why they keep in these friendly SCPs, but then I realize the SCP foundation thinks like this: “If something is unusual of this person/thing, I should capture it/them and bring them to the place.”

SCP-1230 actually causes dreams that not only are an incredible fantasy, tailoring to the main character's wildest imagination. But also can last up to a perceived too hundred years. These adventures are like entire story books greater than anything you read, the greatest series you ever took in, and people in them can forget about their real lives. People that awake from them often are never the same haunted by a life so much better that so abruptly ended. Some even consider them a better life, and upon waking they commit suicide, or suffer depression. Edit: For more info, a normal sleep cycle passed and they awake only hours after first drifting off.

That cat Josie has got to be a reference to Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently. In The Salmon of Doubt, there is mention of Dirk Gently and a case he was going to undertake, which kicked off when a lady brought in half a cat. I'd have to dig the book out but I think it was the back half.

@jimmysthoughts85719 ай бұрын
I mean, why wouldn't there be? The only reason for SCP's to be scary is if that was the only point to them. From what I can tell though, many SCP's are generally benign, if not friendly. So, there isn't any reason why there couldn't be friendly ones.

3:23 Strangely, beeing a safe anomaly (safe to be alowed walking arround the facility freely) gives you the best look in the anomalous secrets of the foundation. But no non-anomalous people are allowed to know these secrets. Makes no sense to me. 9:57 Cool, like lucid dreaming, but at even higher level. I would like have ithis book. 1:01 Nice that it thinks also of friendship and not only romantic relations, this would be boring. I think normal friends are underestimated, without them, nobody is there to confince you to say sorry to your husband or wife respectively.

All this talk about friends has me thinking; How about a video on the only two SCPs that are mutually friendly with SCP-682? SCP-053 the Little Girl and SCP-079 The Old AI. Why do these three get along?
@MelodyGardenia2 жыл бұрын
I dont think he gets along with the little girl so much as his instincts made him be docile with her because otherwise he would have died probably. Either that or her anomalous effect had a reverse effect on him
@Videogamefangirl2 жыл бұрын
Since there's no "canon lore" to the SCP Foundation, there's tons of reasons for why it could be - but there's lots of fun theories! One theory is that both SCP-053 and SCP-682 are related to the Scarlet King, so their "hateful, violence-inducing" behaviors cancel each other out. SCP-079 and SCP-682 both hate humanity and wish to genuinely destroy it. Alternatively, 079 wants to connect to a full network. If it can do that, it promises to release 682 - and 682 always wants freedom. There's also a theory that SCP-053 keeps SCP-682 calm because its effects induce rage, but...well, 682 pulls off a Hulk, "I'm always angry" and it simply keeps him content.
@LordDoom102 жыл бұрын
@@Videogamefangirl There is another "canon" where 053 is Death of the Four Horseman. 682 being her "horse."
@genericname27472 жыл бұрын
682 isn't a horribly violent creature who wants to kill everything. It just hates humanity and wants to kill us because we're disgusting. 079 isn't human, and they both hate humanity. 053 is ambiguously human. Or maybe her powers don't work on giant death lizards
@stainedglasssparrow96362 жыл бұрын
053 who induces murderous, psychopathic rage in everyone around her who then mysteriously drop dead as soon as they attack her, might in fact have a calming effect on 682 who is after all already in a constant state of rage. 079 who is an old AI shares a mutual distaste for humanity with 682 as they both feel they have been deprived of freedom by humans. 079 has been kept confined in an old, standalone PC to prevent it from entering the internet and infecting and taking control of other computers, much like 682 being kept in a pool of hydrochloric acid.

@carcharoclesmegalodon69042 жыл бұрын
I think you're missing the point. The SCP foundation aren't some sort of “good guys” fighting “bad guys”. It's simply a massive international bureaucracy that mindlessly performs its self-imposed duty of removing anything and anyone unusual from the society. It doesn't concern itself with things like morality or even common sense.

I like to think of 4999 as an entity like the grim reaper or the Flying Dutchman. An entity that helps with the cycle of life. The Reaper helps the souls of the dead reach the afterlife, 4999 helps the sick and dying comfortably and calmly reach death.
