Now this is a good one. Solid core idea, good origin story that doesn't get too hung up on details, and enough confidence on the writer's part for there to be no cheap uses of "Redacted/Expunged". Nice to see we can still get clear and concise SCP files even in the 6000 series.

I wonder how he’s dealing with when day breaks? Assuming that he didn’t melt, he could be one of the best ways of fighting back against the flesh. If he were to keep a perpetual blizzard going on around him then the clouds cover would protect him from the sun. I also think it would be hard for him to melt considering that his body temperature is low enough to freeze him back solid.

"Your foundation wants to put me in a box because they fear i will turn into a monster and plot world domination. i have no such grand desires." This sums up the foundation perfectly. half the sentient anomalies they contain makes said anomalies resent them utterly and completely. Think of that 5th chair. the GOC tried to kill what they could not understand, and now the chair, after being fed through a wood-chipper, wants blood. I doubt that sticking it in a furnace would do anything differently, now instead of sentient piles of wood shaving and metal peices, you have a sentient pile of sludge that can reform itself.

I love this one! Simple, no redaction, easy to understand, it’s perfect. A rarity to find in the Wiki now. And perfect for someone who has a very weird curiosity into the 1800-2000s’ Slavic culture, especially Russian and Ukrainian history. I find it so fascinating, and stuff like this really appeals to my curiosity. So thanks to the writer of this and SCP Illustrated. You did a great job narrating and illustrating the article - one of the reasons why I love this channel. So, despite the difficulties of keeping this financially afloat, please keep doing it, if possible. And to the writer of this, another thanks for making it as it is such a great piece that sadly not many writers decide to do as an SCP style. It’s such a rarity to see these, but it’s all the better when we do see these instead of the ones with so much redaction in them.

Yeah, I still don't understand why this wasn't as well received as you'd hoped, I love this just as much now as when it was released last month. I hope that doesn't discourage you from a similar video in the future. Also I miss Dr. Maxwell a lot so I love hearing his voice, as well as E.S. Steve.

My feeling is Silent Night was some sort of elemental spirit that had been weaponized in a previous age. It was too dissimilar to want to stay with humanity. But because of what was done to it the entity had an interest in the activity of war. But was just so different that it was effectively functionally insane. Which may be why they were able to capture it. The thing just was so alien in thought that it didn't see them as a threat. Then they bound it to a being with a fully formed personality. It may have been pretty hollow, but the person it was now attached to wasn't. Who knows if he will be worn down to a hollow thing by the eons that follow or not. But at current he simply wishes to be a hermit of the wilderness.
