The main idea is that the SCP Foundation is meant to contain anomalies, not just outright kill them. Like imagine writing an SCP who's a Cryomancer basically who can create anomalous creatures made of animated snow and ice, which would be dangerous by itself cause I can imagine it would be hard to kill something made out of purely ice or snow, but then the text adds "Any snow or ice that [SCP] controls and animates becomes ballistic resistant" like bro...thats just unnecessary and cliche in SCP writing nowadays

Yaodaboth (however you spell it) Ect Few known gods are SCPS though: The deer and scarlet king being the most known Anyways most scps arent even living things so saying every scp is an immortal god would be quite unrealistic A large majority of SCPS are just locations or objects exhibiting not normal behavior Alot of the ones in 3000's onward are still like this and the likely scenerio is that your just watching the videos and not actually reading on the site. There’s actually a really good video that Kirk is termed the science channel made, and it’s basically we are literally invincible from every disease to ever exist and ever will exist and his example of the plagues from Europe killing the natives was a little misleading I don’t think you knew it, but play some Aziz are not the same thing the reason why no plagues went from the New World back to Europe was because they didn’t have any because plagues are specifically from like animals and stuff, making them much stronger than the ash then they should be because they because diseases don’t actually want to kill you because they live in you and please do it accidentally. It is confirmed with SCP 087 the Endless Staircase, that when they sent someone down to floor 666 that there still was no end but they found a door and it opened to a field with a few dead or dying D classes and a small girl chained up and then the ghost face appeared and said, "Your bodies will make good hosts for myself and my daughter to return to your world and walk among you," or something to that vain and they sealed off the staircase but anyone who was sent down was never seen again but they did hear whispering and sometimes screaming.

Hello Ethan. As a fellow Ethan, I have thoughts on SCP-049. The sickness could be free will, as it would make sense why some of the foundation members aren’t “sick” in his eyes, as their work has taken their free will. But consider this. What if it is instead conscious? The voice of right and wrong. Because what’s something you likely gave up to conduct experiments on creatures, items of mass destruction and so forth at the cost of thousands of human lives? SCP-049 likely is also without conscious. He is a doctor performing on his “patient” the way he sees fit. He doesn’t care about the ethical side of it. He just sees it as the cure. Now, a good counter point to this is the fact they become zombies without free will. This is true. But a zombie also doesn’t have a conscious. A zombie doing the bidding of its master doesn’t think, it just does. It doesn’t question, it doesn’t think for itself. So perhaps both are correct, in a sense. Perhaps it is the very idea of being human that makes us sick?

001 - Gate Guardian is supposed to be Uriel, the guardian of the entrance to Eden. Edit: he also doesn't just delete anyone passing a mile mark. He usually gives them a psychic comand impossible to ignore such as "depart." The founder of the SCP Foundation was given the command of "prepare" which kead to the creation of the Foundation in that proposal (its the cannon one for me and my head cannon). Drones and other machinery will be smote with extreme prejudice. And he cand attack thousands of times per second. The sword also has more range than a mile. During testing they tried to nuke the angel from a sub with balistic missiles. The angel survived and pointed his sword at the sube making all the nukes detonate at once vaporizing the entire battle group it was part of. And it is expected that it will one day ve part of an XK-class end of the world senerio.

And in O" Death, no living person returned through the cave, only drones. But only by pure luck cuz the SCP foundation said to wait for back-up, sent more in, and they began investigating the scp foundation in that world. And only one member, as far as we know, heard the voice memo they found. But they didn't just find a memo, they found the rotting corpse of the sole agent who learned of this memo. Said agent sent the memo back via drone, then detonated the on-site nuke, killing the entire team. He did so because if anyone went back through the cave, their world would suffer the same fate as this one. And the SCP foundation put concrete in the cave to seal it up. If anyone made it through they wouldn't be able to kill it and toss it back through cuz they'd all instantly die.

Because a lot of the early scp community don’t like the animation channels that showed up around 2020 because of how fast they would produce videos where they would cut out information and make them more action packed and violent than the story actually is. Ok I’m gonna comment as I watch now 😂. 1. The deer god was one of the first SCP’s that explored what the foundation would do against an unstoppable force that they don’t understand. If those kinds of scp’s aren’t your style then a lot of the modern files are probably off limits for you as the community moves away from cool killer monsters. There are still great stories but they are very weird and obscure now, like a sentient gumball machine. Or they are giant essay long stories with entire worlds.

little correction on the SCP:001 proposals; there are like a whole lot of them like 20ish i belive the reason behind this is not clear, it might be the one you mentioned (scarlet king dangerous bc cognito hazard so make many to avoid ppl finding out about him), some others are that they've been discovered before the numbering thing so there were a lot of 001s or they are trying to avoid ppl finding out about the true 001 or (and this is my favourite) none of them is the real 001 and some other anomaly is the real deal so the whole 001 thing is just a way to throw people off

Funfacts: 1-Same 682 also trash talked Gate Guardian and stayed alive after that encounter. 2-Also his very idea was erased in an attempt to kill him permamently with a machine (6820), then he was erased from existence, but he survived anyway and adapted to become an idea incomprehensible to humans and turned the machine that killed him into a new and inhanced 682. Basicly literally became a constant of termination (the idea). 3- 096, who was launched to the sun, has its rage state activated and starts pushing the sun as a means of getting back to earth. It was noticible from the earth. 4- SCP-173 gave 682 trauma.Because scp 173 was able to destroy 1/3 of the scarlet kings leviathans, 682’s own kind. each one of them is stronger. (other than 682, as he is the weakest of the bunch) and 682 is scared that 173 might take his wrath on 682. 5- It is believed that 999 will be the one that is going to defeat Scarlet King in the end :)
