I think the antagonist of the movie shouldn’t be beetlejuice or some wannabe zen guru. I think it should be someone like god or the devil or maybe both and the reason they need to team up to save the living and the dead is because god and the big man downstairs had been at each others throats for eons and things finnaly snapped so the apocalypse is imminent. God sends biblically accurate angels to earth and the devil opens the gates of hell and Saturn! Next thing ya know is we got heaven and hell on earth and we need Lydia and BJ’s know how of both to save both. That plus I would love to see a biblically accurate angel in Tim burtons style saying “be not afraid” to a guy and he just flat out faints in front of it. I think that’d be a funny scene in a beet- I mean a you know who movie.
