This is truly my best sedition so far. Most of the magic effects were added by me at the last minute to make the interviews feel more exciting, and were not part of the original script. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fans are asking there are big differences between the Ask SCP 343 video script and this Sedition. The truth is Ask SCP 343 was created by 1 team member who had not read any backstory or lore into the SCP Foundation, didn't know anything about SCP 343, and just wrote the character as a religious reference to Yahweh from the bible. This is why there is some major lacking things between the two videos. Also Ask SCP 343 is in no relation related to the SCP Seditions. The SCP Sedition was written and analysed by the team, who went into details and references that 343 had done in the Foundation website, with much more lore being planned in Tape 02. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I could not of done this without (ClownPrinceOfCrime [script writer / jacobs] Count Solace [Watch] Mongoose [SCP343] ) Watch seems a lot more aggressive in this video doesn't he? You know what I feel was 343’s best comeback? The fact that he pointed out the hypocrisy in them demanding the truth and asking why he doesn’t use his powers to directly help, when the foundation’s purpose is to hide the truth even if many of the SCPs could greatly help people. Even just sticking with the good SCPs like the kid who wanted to be a hero, or the program that could teach the more struggling students things that they struggle to learn. There are great risks in doing so, risks they don’t wanna take. The same could be said with 343, regardless if he’s actually God or not. You can’t refuse to do something while also demanding someone else do the very thing you refuse to do. That’s just childish. And that’s what they are to 343 regardless of being the real deal or a fake, children. (There’s also the fact that the foundation are willing to terminate people to do their job, even to the point of erasing every trace of them including memory. Something Watch was angry with 343 about.) I also like how he calls Isaac out on what kind of God he’s truly be.

That means they’re ignoring the fact that as God, he would logically know far more than them and would be 100% right when saying they can’t handle certain things, he would’ve actually seen it go badly, and he would’ve had future knowledge to know it would go badly again. Yet they are outright ignoring God himself telling them it’s a bad idea. They are ignoring his warnings, and then complaining when he decides to act. If he’s God, then he was right when saying erasing that doctor was a mercy compared to what he would’ve learned. There are a lot of factors to consider if they do believe he’s God, factors they’re ignoring and yet get angry when he decides to stop them from doing what he thinks is a horrible idea. However if they don’t, then your statement is void. Because he’d then just be another reality warping SCP to them. One they can’t stop, sure, but one nonetheless. And as such, they’d hold him to the same standards other SCPs who claim to be Gods are held. Which is to say, humanlike standards. Because that’s how it works, regardless of arrogance. So either he’s God and they’re holding him to a higher standard, yet acting as if that doesn’t include the knowledge and understanding of situation God would logically have. Or he’s not God, and would not be held to a higher standard just because he’s arrogant (or delusional) enough to believe he is God. This may not focus purely on what you stated, but I feel like it’s related enough to bring up.

This was worth the wait! And I was freaking surprised to see 035 appear there and supposedly get “punished” for impersonating God. Interesting how he also knows about the scp gods and was able to cancel out the scarlet king’s influence when mentioning his name. I was wondering what was going on with the man that disappeared at the end of his wiki page. I also loved the voice of 343, reminds me of Zeus from God of War. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much big questions and philosophical responses in one video, it’s enough to really make you question how or why their world is what it is. At least Watch can scratch calling God out off his bucket list. Curious to see what “business” 343 is attending to. Anyway great video and can’t wait for part 2!

One thing I noticed is that I think Watch contradicted himself, or at least unknowingly said the answer to one of his gripes. Early on he (and Jacobs I think too) criticize 343 for staying his hand most of the time and not directly helping out humanity more. Yet when inquiring about privacy concerns and whether 343 has seen things he shouldn’t, he gives an analogy of a parent who must let their child grow on their own without overt parental influence. I’m surprised 343 didn’t use that analogy himself, or even call Watch out on it. Given how 343 acts - and what the Christian faith says in general - God/343 *is* basically the parent of humanity. The way 343 speaks about free will, in my opinion, *is* a bit like a parent knowing when the child must leave the nest and forge their own way, whether or not that way adheres to any wisdom the parent has tried to instill. We’ve seen it play out in many unfortunate life stories: a parent who helps with so many life issues that the child grows too reliant on the support, and even starts to reject independence and responsibility; the most common image is of a basement-dwelling manchild. That could be why 343 not only avoids most direct action, but also does not go out of his way to prove his existence to the masses. If humanity were to become over reliant on the presence and support of a god, what could that do to us? Our attitudes? Our way of living? Our purpose in existing, really? And what could that do to that god? Maybe make them feel resentment over time? Boredom? Give even more of a superiority complex? If an abusive parent can exert control over a child they purposefully made dependent via simple means like finances or fear of homelessness, what could possibly happen to us if we give all responsibility and crisis-management over to an entity that could one day see us as useless or a nuisance or even something to abuse power over? Smaller theory: maybe something like that scenario had happened - or at least almost did happen or even is starting to happen - to 343 based on his behavior here and a few of his vague answers. He seems a bit more aggressive, at least irritable, than the usual perception of God. Also, dare I say, prideful? Then again, it could be because Watch and Jacobs were provoking him. But with or without that provocation, it could also be that 343 feels that bit of a resentment over a “spoiled child”. He does admit he has little interest, only a sense of responsibility to oversee what he created. A sense of responsibility doesn’t translate to positive feelings or a lack of negative ones, as is often felt by workers in dead-end jobs. I’m realizing now just how philosophical I’m getting over an animated character, and how time and effort I’m putting into that. KZbin videos work in mysterious ways.

I think at least in this video it sort of gives a good example how 343 would see its existance as it defines himself as nature and the atoms of creation so it's safe to say that comparitively it would consider itself to be the software that creates and destroys everything, the core of everything that if you took it away everything would cease and I know that unless the software has is given the abillity to understand it was created by something else then wouldn't it be safe to assume that it would believe that there was nothing before it. Humans have had similar beliefs before as well. I mean not too long ago certain peoples believed we were at the center of everything including the gods.

It might be wrong at that particular point in time but time is just a location for him. If he truly is God, then there are so many invariable alternative casualties that it probably doesn't matter. He's doing "good" and "bad" repeatedly, infinitely, that he can be omnimalevolent as he is omnibenevolent. The glass frames (foundation) remain the same, all that changes are the lenses.
