Some trivia relating to 179 that I found. 1) Her name means "Sister of the Sun" in an ancient Indo European language. 2) Assuming her hair grows at a normal human rate and has not been cut, the length of her hair would indicate she is approximately 22,700 years old. 3) This is both a translation and a rewrite of SCP-ES-026, both written by the same author. 4) This was posted during Series 3, which makes me wonder what SCP-179 originally was. Only thing I could find is an air canister that can spray an endless supply of deadly gas, with the type of gas being random.

You would likely find your answer on the wayback machine. But considering it was during Series 3 and that was around the time when SCP wiki staff were dealing with a few high profile bans, its likely the original 179 was deleted as part of one of a specific group of high profile users being banned. I believe the original 179 (assuming what you found was true) was put back up under a different designation, a slight rewrite, and put in Explained and reused in the Dammerung canon.

A very interesting SCP, and also the very first I saw a video about. So this is a go back to the origins, so to speak. Speaking of origins, I think it can be ascertained that SCP-179 is of human origins, elevated in some fashion to a position of nigh-divinity. Now, it may not be related, but there is an SCP out there that is a set of instructions for a ritual/ceremony that if successful, makes the practitioner ascend to a higher plane of existence. What happens afterward is unknown, but it makes me wonder if Sauelsuesor could have gone through said ritual and eventually found her calling among the stars.

The symbols on her body are not only alchemy symbols but also symbols of the celestial bodies of the Solar System in astrology. For example: the symbol on her forehead being the Sun. The one around her mouth being the symbol for Mercury, the one on her chest being Venus and so on until the last symbol I could see, which was Saturn. I can't see the other symbols for the other planets on her, though, so I don't know if they are there.

Y'know, her speech implies that she's sightly more anomalous than a giant woman being a lookout for Earth. Non-anomalous answer would be that there's a sort of pattern to the chaos of the universe that she can see, so placing herself where she can be seen by all that she helps & her gesticulations are helpful to can be seen as is necessary. The more likely answer is that her anomalous nature makes it so that the observer effectively "registers" the planet that they're on & perceives her as pointing as is valid for the planet they're on for her to "point" for. Might be something that a trip to Area-32 could help for testing
