Suggestion for a variation, would be most interesting for an 8th gear 100+player race, GFred scramble where every player is assigned a different scramble at random, resulting in everyone just flying off in all sorts of directions and crossing paths in virtually unpredictable ways. Obviously, since different routes have different lengths it couldn't be a true competitive thing, but as a once in a while bit of fun could be cool.

The current middle route is almost always faster than hotlap in any car. You need to have a perfect hybrid and very good rail riding for it to be faster these days
