Feel sorry for these people who found it boring. You are relying to much on jump scares and cliches. Even though you are probably the same people who complain on other horror films that they are using too many cliches. This is a genuine horror short, building suspense and keeping you watching till the end. It was very good.

This is probably the best short horror film I have seen yet. The plot was great, no stupid jump scares, the acting was superb. The right amount of blood and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. The letters at first I thought was going to be silly when he first picked up the E because at first I thought it wasn't going to make sense, but I kept watching because I was still into the film. And when it spelt "wake up" I got chills! Well done on that part. I wasn't expecting that. You are very talented. Never give up on making films. Would love to watch more of your films.

I think you deserved the award. This is one of the best short horror films I have seen in a long time! Great job! I loved how you left the monster to be ambiguous. Contrasting with SuperCHARged, I think "Blood Fairy" is fine, since most monsters/urben legends have goofy names--at least in America. Take the Boogyman for example. Ridiculous name, but the legend is what makes people shiver. Or how people interpret it. Same with Slenderman. Doesn't sound threatening, then he eats your children. But, that is just me. Either way, as a horror fanatic, I LOVED your film. I love movies that center more around one character, maybe three at most, and makes the audience feel more involved. The film was not cluttered and it was well paced. You had me cheering for your main character to get away and live. Can't wait to see more! :D Cheers! --Tabby

While I do like the ideas that this short addresses I feel that it hit more of the outer bull's eye. Instead of the letters that spell out "Wake Up" being left for him on the floor outside his apartment, wouldn't it have been more creepy if they appeared inside the apartment and in other forms than just refrigerator magnets? Like maybe he first notices the letter E as a refrigerator magnet while he's making something to eat and then he sees the letter A scratched into the wall or something like that. If I found letters outside my apartment door I'd probably just disregard it as a Prank and ignore it. Also, the "Blood fairy"? Really? To me that just sounds like something writers come up with in a desperate attempt to come up with something scary. I mean, I can see a monster that's out for blood, but...why a fairy? Lastly, the dialogue was a little hokey. To me it sounded more like forced exposition, which I know in short films you sometimes have to go with that in order to flesh something out, but I feel it could've been done a little bit better. Apart from these minor setbacks I still think this short was well done. It was well acted and well shot and I do love the ending when he wakes up the second time to find himself covered in blood. I especially love that the audience doesn't even know who's blood that is. It's clearly not his because we in no way see him bleeding so in full honesty I think the ending was really clever in that way. Also in the last shot it looks like he's looking up at something, but we never see what he was looking at. Whether that's because what he saw wasn't really there, whether it's because whatever he saw can only be seen by him, or whether it's because it's too horrific to show either way it leaves it up to the audience's interpretation and I really like that. Overall I'd give it 7/10. Good Job!

***** Well I myself am a Film student. So I know how it feels to have somebody bash something you probably worked your ass off on and I didn't want you thinking that I'm just some hater. And besides that I did over all enjoy this short film. So I didn't want you taking the negatives too harshly. Especially since there were things in it that I really liked. As I said, the ending was clever and I also liked the acting, and the cinematography.

I really liked the idea of the plot, I think it's creepy and I think it has potential to be a full-length film. I feel like, and although I usually don't condone it, this definitely could have used a jump-scare. There wasn't enough suspense for me to sit on the edge of my seat. Creepify it up x 100! The Blood Fairy concept is riveting and would love to see a sequel.

No it's been a while since i've learned it but i know for sure it's not blood. I think it was something in the vagina... i don't know what it's called in english but in dutch it's 'baarmoeder'. In that thing every few weeks or so it automatically creates some kind of fluid (not blood) but when you have your period that fluid is rotting or i don't know what's it called and you get cramps and your vagina pushes it away to make new fluid. But it's deffinetly not blood. Blood also stinks less

There's a lot of average horror movies on KZbin, but this was very well done. The suspense built up nicely to a fitting conclusion. My only criticism would be that it was stated that the fairy had no shape or form, but there was clearly a shadow to symbolise her standing before him. That's a huge contradiction. Otherwise, great job.

I give this a 7.15/10. Very well shot and well done use of the cheerful tunes and colorful letters to balance against the dark subject matter. The acting was good enough, and the pacing was very well done with the rise, quick fall, rise and fall style. The only thing that I had real issue with was the fact that though the monster or idea of the film, though being unique, was not particularly special or really very interesting. But I will still rate it a 7.15 meaning I would pay to see it at a festival.

Very nicely done, and I've seen a lot of indie horror films. The sound effects is great and music as well. Each scene draws its viewers closer with anticipation and I love the climax of the tension. Bravu bravu. The actor was on cue and good but there's a lack of feel to him, nonetheless a good performance.

the acting is a little bit off 1. When you open a fridge, you look around a little first ... you dont just grab something so fast 2. When you cut your finger, usually you will try to grab a tissue right away to stop the bleeding 3. When you hear door bell, you asked who's there first before you open the door. And you dont just rush your way out like that...
@Mutieee

Maybe he had a set idea of what he was getting, and generally puts his food in the same places? Also, the "who's there" thing is more of a horror cliche in my opinion. Personally, I open the door slightly to see who it is instead of asking who's there. I don't know any people who ask who's there before opening their door, honestly.

These short horror films that rely on nothing but build up and show no ghost or anything at the end are getting really old. and what's with playing 40s era music? that cliche alone is the scariest thing about this film. And who or what group of people are giving all these awards I see all these short films getting? is this like a weekly award equivalent to little children getting a star sticker on the wall because they spelled "bee" correctly?
