I love the intensity of the dialogue! Also, Brent Black has good radio voice. And when Kurt Barretto speaks for the first time, I thought "is this Morgan Freeman?" :-)

The actor has a fantastic radio voice! The days of the DJ are unfortunately numbered with today's technology, so I have a great appreciation for this art. The short film is an awesome combination of two things I love; old school radio shows and THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC lol. Great vision!

The intensity of the conversation really built it. Tom's shift from a cool customer to somebody dealing with something truly terrifying. Well done. Very well done. Always great when you know something is coming but it still gets you anyhow, that is suspense building!

Excellent. I am a horror aficionado, and this is among the best I have ever seen. The reason - dialogue. So many short horror films are done with minimal or no dialogue at all. The reason for that is because they are often shot with amateur actors/filmmakers' friends - workmanlike, sure, but often unable to carry off any convincing dialogue. Furthermore, a lot of short horror films stress technique, and the writers/directors are unable to really craft highly verbal scenarios. Not only was this film dialogue based, it was witty, clever, and engrossing. And what a radio voice Brent Black has. I watched it again with my eyes closed, and it really lost nothing of the impact. Yeah, the jump scare was telegraphed. Small flaw, tell the critics to live with it.

Well I think that's the thing, coz' he walked past that room, (from what I gathered), still busy trying to comprehend what just happened so didn't see her, imo implying that magic is real and although he never believed in magic before he obviously.does (now) as his fear manifested. Inspired by Pontypool maybe? This was one of the most engaging short films I've seen on KZbin sheerly due to the dialogue, which was constructed so well. it may have gotten a bit pretentious with some of the magicians lines, and the final jumpscare was fine, I just see the same kind a bit too much in short films. Nonetheless, one of my favorites! Nice Job!
