Very inspiring, Miss Claire. I’m always amazed that you just throw down some scraps that others would have tossed in the trash, squiggle on some thread, and the next thing I know you’ve made a little piece of art. Can’t wait for Part 2! I’m learning so much from you and I’m eager to try this myself.

It’s interesting to follow your creative thought process as well as the practical skills. So pleased to see a video maker with short nails!

Thank you for your lovely comment, it is very much appreciated. I have short nails as I am an SEND and Technology teacher in the week, so I would soon break them.

Claire, I love your style and have been inspired to make a fabric landscape. Does the free motion foot work on any machine? Mine is only a basic Singer.

So glad that you have been inspired Lisa. Check you can either drop the dog feed or have a plastic cover for darning. Then you will need to know the shank size to order. Using a ruler, measure from the base of the foot to the center of the presser foot thumb screw. If the shank is 075″ or 0.5″ or below, you have a low shank. For shanks measuring 1″ and more, it's a high shank machine. Alternatively if you are in the UK call www.silverviscount.co.uk/ This is the company I purchase my parts, they can advice and will have the parts at a reasonable price. Happy stitching.
