connect the engine to an "and" gate. connect an input converter to the "and" gate. set the input converter to seat. then connect a switch to the "and" gate. now, when you jump out of the seat, the circuit will be incomplete, and the engine will turn off.

I'm still upgrading the steering controllers, but I only get 20 seconds of flight time per unit of gasoline. For those who are short on component kits, I found that the scrap engine does not lower the flight time compared to a fully upgraded gas engine.

I'm hoping that upgrading the steering controllers will reduce their weight, @Computer Boy, like it does with the gasoline engine. I cannot think of any other reason why my HoverJetCopterPlane burns fuel faster.

i have everything maxed except controllers and suspensions and need 10 gas to get over half of the map.. that's not very good compared to what we can see in one of @00Fant videos. Not sure whether suspension and controller upgrades would reduce their weight tho.

I just got my controllers upgraded to the max, and I still get 20 seconds per gasoline,@@crypton1782. The only thing I have not upgraded are the suspensions, but they are already one weight.... Perhaps 00Fant built this from the creative menu, getting a more efficient version of the thruster.

RePlace the Suspension with Cornerpipes. But Do it while it is on the Lift. Maybe that helps. =)

Making this now (very new to SMS also just as new to SM alone) - one question for just about anyone who knows this game better than me....) Q: How do you place items on the lift (at the very edge) like in the video 0:22 - is it some key sequence that lets someone 'nudge' items with more precision?) like Q and shift-Q does for object rotation? I've seem lots of videos of people building things and I get lost before I start since I just can't figure out home someone does something 'seemingly so simple') - thanks for any/all help.

I was thinking about attaching something like this to my daily runabout but it just occurred to me that the suspension glitch would transfer to my vehicle. I can't think of any way around that. I might have to give up on the idea.

Simple, dont have it attached to your vehicle, just put it on with a crane or something then build a cage around it

@@stillchill9781 Then you've got continuous collisions to deal with. I don't think so. When I did build it it made the car too laggy. So I had to ditch the idea. Although, more recently I've been carrying a simple, 1 thruster, 2 suspensions (for the stabilizer glitch) a switch and a scrap seat rocket on my car. It just goes straight up and straight down but great for scouting for that elusive chemicals.

you can activated the "Devmode" then you have for example unlimited items, god mode and and and. I use a Seperate Survival Map with this Enabled for my Videos. =) No Mod needed.

the buttons 1 and 2 for Rotating Left and Right ( Yaw ) and 3 is for Full Thrust so the Flyer will lift from the ground otherwise it should fall slowly.

Seat Must be lvl 5. Rest must not max lvl. but u should upgrade all. after that the thruster then the controler. rest only to reduce weight / fuel cost

Somehow the thruster didn't turn off. And i made the mistake to take it off the lift. Flew away. I will never see that thing again. Welp. Was great though for the one flight i took.

@@00FantMod Yeah i definitely did something wrong. It worked great otherwise. I believe i forgot to connect the thruster, or connected it wrong. It flew all the way to the sky, i saw the dot, and then away, are you sure it is around my base?! EDIT: I connected it, because i could turn it on with the button. But it wouldn't stop somehow. So i did connect it, but i guess the wrong way, or something else was wrong. It flew great, it is an amazing build. But i am new to Scrap mechanic and am still figuring out the basics.

@@00FantMod I just built using level 1 parts except I have a level 4 over a level 5 seat. Working on that now. However, I tried a test and the Thruster won't go on at all. I have it connected to the OR logic gate and the seat and I got nothing. The OR is connected to a NAND gate and an AND gate in the loop and I have a second NAND connected to the AND and the sensor. I'm in survival soooo Is it because the seat isn't level 5 yet? Also the controllers... Are those supposed to have a setting? I have watched this video like 7 times now no joke and I don't see you touch those.

the Thruster has a hitbox of 2x2 and the flyer has its Mass Center in the middel of the Thruster. That is why the flyer has this designe. it is not for optic resons xd

My pitch and tilt are fine, but the rotation glitches out and I then have to rotate my camera and figure out how to go backwards and sideways instead of being able to just turn around on the spot... But I think that's the game... I'm planning on taking a chest up to the top of a warehouse for the ramps and stuff.

Reaction Time. Try it out. U will see a Engine is Much Much Better for Control Pitch. And the Fuel Useage of the engine is less then 1 gas in over 10min fly

ah and if u control a Controler over a Seat then the Controler States are like "Toggles". If u Press W u MUST press S to set it back. With a Engine u dont. U can Tap W or S for little adjustments.

@@00FantMod I was just messing with it actually, and I was able to get my forward adjustments extremely precise with a controller. resetting to a neutral position however is were it all falls apart for me. All that is to say I now see why you use an engine. I do wish I didnt need the engine though, I hate collecting gas/oil. It would be even more expensive but I wonder how an electric engine might do?

getting batterys is even more difficult... use a Engine ^^... the 1 gas is nothing. And E-Engines hav direct the max Accerleration. Gas-Engines do not start with max Power. ( i mean not the Slider ). That is why u can do little Control Tabs with W and S. if u use a E-Engine then they are not Little ^^...
