When you said, nothing goes to waste in my house, I thought of the old saying (waste not, want not). Thanks for the beautiful tutorial.

I bought the tool I enjoyed the block so much. I’m making barn dance in the New year, so maybe I’ll make these as an in between project like you. 😊 I have lots of reds, blues,greens and yellow/ camel colour left overs from other quilts so I’ll start trimming them to two inch strips. Thank you Jeanette ❤

Your tute was nicely presented and I might add that you have very graceful, beautiful hands that don't detract from the project.

Love the colours. A bit intimidating looking but you make it look easy. I have 2 sizes of the CG Log Cabin tool. I will start with that for now. Love the effect and please take us with you as you go along.😊

I just pulled out my pineapple trim tool last week. When you said you made a mistake, I knew just what it would be because I did the same thing! But it still worked out okay.

I purchased the pineapple trim tool and have been researching tips from different videos to learn the process before i start cutting and sewing.I found this video to be very helpful. Your instructions make it easy to understand the process. Great camera angles too! Thank you so much for what you do!

I love this!! I have wanted to make a pineapple quilt forever and just never had the courage to tackel the quilt. I now know how to use the trim tool, I have one, but never used it. Thank you for doing this video. Just what I needed. Thank you so very much!!

And just when I thought you could use a seam roller, you came up with it. I actually made a quilt with this tool and it worked perfectly.

That's going to be gorgeous. I had a bit of anxiety at the beginning when I saw the Pineapple tool, but I think I could do this!

I am so pleased you showed me the error “I” also made and why. My pineapple squares are awesome, but once I recognized my error, I was several blocks along, so I continued to be consistently wrong. The problem arose, as you clearly point out, my setting triangles were not the same. I resolved the problem “somewhat” by trimming each side of the final round to the same width. I will definitely do another pineapple quilt, and again, thanks for the help. Kathleen in Canada

I love Creative Grid’s rulers. I have been wanting to buy the 4” login cabin for a long time, but they are so expensive, and I would make use of it only occasionally … This tutorial is great, and I love your fabric selection. Thank you for sharing.

great tutorial Jeanette, made a small pineapple quilt top using this ruler and yardage, thought it had way too much wastage and decided i would not use it again, But using scraps makes it an amazing thought.... scraps, then smaller scraps i really can't use, winner all the way. Will definitely try this again!

Love this! Pineapple pattern is one I've always loved, but was afraid it would be too fussy for me to do. This tool seems to make it a little less difficult. I'm going to look into buying one. Thank you. I've alway enjoyed your tutorials!

I’m terrible for reading instructions too, it was nice to see I’m not the only one who does this. I’d have made exactly the same mistakes you did. I’m glad you pointed out where and why you went wrong. Another great tutorial. Looking forward to seeing the finished result one day. I’m just wondering how many projects you have on the go at the moment? 😂
@SewingStudio9 ай бұрын
Hi Alexandra, We asked Jeanette how many projects she had on the go and she said "I dread to think, I know I had 12 large projects on my WIP (works in progress) list at the start of the year, so add to that my pineapple blocks and charity quilt, plus a scrap cushion - that’s 15. That doesn’t include small projects and cross stitch finishes… my aim this year is to get numbers down, but it doesn’t worry me. I do get things finished and in the meantime I’ve always got something I can pick up and work on."

Dear Jeanette, I think it's a great way to use up scraps. Thanks for a good tutorial, precise and clear. What do you think: would it be possible to cut along with a regular ruler? I suppose there will be more adjusting? Greetings from Andrea from Germany
@SewingStudio9 ай бұрын
Hi Andrea, Jeanette said yes you can cut with a normal ruler!
@leerobs11189 ай бұрын
You can't believe how expensive that pineapple trim tool is here in South Africa 😮🤯 because of our exchange rate. So if I wanted to I would use the paper piecing. Also do you find this a little hectic for off cuts. As you were cutting I was like 😮 too much to crumb quilt😊
@Dranma51Ай бұрын
If you use a jelly roll couldn’t you trim the strips as you go instead of trimming 1/2 inch off each strip? That would be hard to do. I love the scrappy idea though!
