@@sewbecca I too love your collection. I’ve started collecting miniature vintage sewing machines. They’re either metal or ceramic/porcelain and painted. So cute. I’m also planning to re-start collecting small tea sets which fascinated me as a girl. It’s so fun, isn’t it?

I love your studio, and I’ve watched so many tours, but you had some great ideas which solve some problems I’m having just now. I’m having trouble with organizing projects I’ve started or will start after I finish gathering all the pieces, tools, etc. so thanks so much! I have a Martelli cutting table too, and I love being able to raise or lower it as needed. I never had back pain anymore!

Nice video. I am watching KZbin for quilting room ideas. More like quilting space for now. Our goal is to buy a three bedroom home in two years. The third room is going to be my quilting room as well as the computer room. For now I am taking courses as I change careers. I finish my courses this year. So I have a little ways to go. But I liked your video.

I would love to know more of your video equipment/cords for live/recording videos, how you edit your videos and all those behind the scene things that you do. I find it hard to switch from camera to camera with no delays etc, so any help or advice is highly appreciated. I also love your unboxing videos, i look forward to watching them every time. Becca, The fabric you have wrapped on boards and/or folded on the shelves ? RU concerned about fading and dust? Thanks for ALL you share. Stay safe, Mary V. 🍀
@sewbecca
@sewbecca Жыл бұрын
No, not really. My fabric isn't pre-washed, and most fabric processes include chemicals that help prevent some amount of dying. Additionally, the windows in my studio aren't facing any direct sunlight - so I think we'll be ok. As for dust, I just dust every few months. :)

GM. What a wonderful room. Love how you did the outside. Loved to see the windows and the seating area. Bet Mom really enjoys being in the room while you are sewing and making utubes. Loved the area where you have for the longarm and the quilt ladder. What a great way to use the ladder. Now when the quilts are quilted do you have a special place to pile them until Mom does the binding? Guess the next big project is a garage to keep the vehicles out of the winter storm. Have you set a date for your parents to move in yet? It will be neat to see MaMa Nancy. You are so lucky to have your mom and then she will be close and no more traveling. Have a great weekend and thanks 4 sharing
@sewbecca
@sewbecca 2 жыл бұрын
There's an ottoman behind mom's chair that holds all the quilts that need to be bound. It's getting pretty thick! We don't get much snow in this part of the country - and if we do, everything shuts down and it's gone in a day or two. I think our next project is doing a lovely deck in our yard. :). Parents are moving in Spring 2023!

Becca, This was just wonderful. I love so much about how you've got things set up. I've done a lot of the same things in slightly different ways. And I collect "tacky" magnets. They're going to be on the inside of my kitchen cabinets as soon as I cut the metal inserts for the doors. I love your inspiration walls. I've covered my wall spaces with my cross stitch and cross stitch I've rescued from thrift stores. Your outdoor views are phenomenal. I have a view of the hills of East TN. Good Morning Becca, Wow, I adore your quilting studio, who wouldn’t man, it’s perfect. It makes me feel happy for you and I like that. ☺️ I really enjoyed seeing your space. I have a nice “mini space” 🤣😂🤣 to work and create in that is working much better than what I had prior. Have a wonderful weekend. 🥰 Chris

16:49 hi Becca! I’d love to know more about how you hang up the mini quilts please! Which clips are you using? I’ve been meaning to hang up some quilts and love the idea of clips! Thank you so much for the help in advance! ❤️

Hi! I just large Wonder Clips (amzn.to/3GFh4Ha) to hold onto the quilt, and then use 3M Velcro strips (amzn.to/3GByxQO) to attach the clip to the wall (one piece on the clip, another on the wall!)

Hi Becca ! Your studio is lovely ! The only thing I don’t care for is the carpet. I have carpet on mine too and it’s a pain in the butt. Thread sticks to it, even small pieces of fabric, so hard to keep it clean. I want a hard floor for myself but that’s just my choice and opinion. 😉 Best wishes to you. I subscribed to your videos.

The carpet was a very deliberate choice - but, if I didn't have the KZbin channel...it would not have happened. It's a lot to deal with, for sure!

I use bins for my projects too, only mine are a bit larger bins because some of my quilts I work on are huge and i like to fit all my finished blocks in there as well as my binding, and backing for the quilt. I also keep a progress sheet in ea. bin, and if I have to order anything I keep a copy of what I ordered, when and from where, so I know why that project is on hold. At my age I forget things easily. LOL Love your space and Love how organized you are.. I feel the same way about not being creative if the room is not in order.. once it's in order I"m free to go ... LOL

I totally agree. Having things tidy allows my brain to focus on the project!
