Another one bites the dust. Not many of these classics left out on the Great Lakes. Great video, shared.

So sad to see her end her long career ending this way. She served many years. A veteran of the Great Lakes. Thank you old girl for all your years of service. And such a gray and gloomy day doesn’t help seeing her towed away. I say retired not scrapped. Sounds more respectful.

I sure wish someone would save her. It's wrong to cut her up. Sad.

That was awesome! Though sad to see an old ship go. What was the seagulls name?

She's unrecognizable except for her name!

I bet that many artifacts from her, including her twin Leslie horns will be salvaged. It's a shame to see her go here but it's for a reason, salt is a merciless killer..thankfully, modern vessels are constructed to carry the salt and spare the oldies.

The Manistee spent its life in fresh water. The Great Lakes .
