After months of waiting for another desk, kzbin.infoUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr I finally canceled the order and went with the Belleze black and gold. It fits perfectly in my office and the drawers are a nice feature (keeps the clutter off my desk for more room to work!) It's modern but sophisticated. My husband got it assembled in less than an hour. The only negative is that it leaves prints! I wound up complementing it with a large desk mat/mouse pad (which also helps to prevent scratches) so no more fingerprints! Overall a nice desk for the cost!

I love how having that piece of flatsawn oak at the front gives you view of the nebulary rays along the front edge of the piece. Really cool placement choice.

I really love the way this turned out. It's also incredibly helpful to see how you adapt when you run into a problem; I think I learn even more from the mistakes than I do from the perfect projects. Thank you!

This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection kzbin.infoUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.

Beautiful work Chris. This video really speaks to why your channel is so great. Your a great story teller, with a refreshing eye for design, and your not afraid to show your mistakes instead of showing us how to make a drawer box for the 800th time. Keep it up man.

Haha. Thanks man. Maybe next time I’ll purposely mess up on some drawer boxes so I can do both 😃

Thanks for showing the mistakes. I think it is a very nice looking coffee table...even for scraps! I really did not expect you to attach the top like that after you cut the rabbet around the outside. It gave it a nice floating look.

My usual comment of loving your video, and the podcast this week was great. Loved the honest talk of “selling out”. Eventhough there’s more sponsors in your videos, I don’t think it detracts from your videos whatsoever. I personally like knowing what companies see the opportunity to work with a great creator and jump on it.
@Foureyes.Furniture6 жыл бұрын
I think it all lies in the viewer, assuming we're not doing something crazy. If I was trying to get people to buy things I knew were no good that would be one thing. But like I said in the podcast, I'm selective with the brands I work with...and if I work with them I stand behind them. I try to keep it of value to the viewer, even though I know they aren't the most interesting part of the video...but it enables me to keep the train rolling. So the people who like the show and want to see me do more...they understand that, and are in turn happy to see the sponsors roll in. Keeps things free :)
@brianknowles71304 жыл бұрын
As others have said, you are refreshingly honest. Almost makes me feel human after all, with the wood working mistakes I make. Thks again.

I really love this piece. I know you said its not your best, but honestly, I love the contrast and pattern. Been looking at different ideas for a coffee table, but I think this is the one I want to try. Also nice to see you being a human and seeing how you overcome your mistakes. These are very helpful for us mortals.

hey chris, this may sound like a weird question, but... i love the way walnut looks BEFORE it's stained and varnished. i'm planning to use walnut for some shelves i'm making, but i'd love it if there were a way to finish and protect the wood while keeping that unfinished, dusty, matte-like look. any ideas? thanks so much for these videos...

Thanks. I actually skew on the side of very simple when the top has a lot going on. I don't want things competing. If the wood is very homogenous, that's when I like the overall shape to be the star of the show.
