// ABOUT THIS VIDEO
Today I'm going over How To Build a Mid Century Modern Dresser. When we had our first son I built a similar dresser, so it seemed only appropriate to build another for our next. I got to try out a few new woodworking techniques on this project and I'm really happy with the outcome!

This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection kzbin.infoUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.

Congratulations on your new soon to be addition to your family. Very clean piece. I'd love to see you go out of you'r mid century modern comfort zone. Although I am a big fan. I also love how you said dolores decided to leave the job she likes to stay home for the children, and how you thanked your patreon members and said that was basically a deciding factor. Here's the kicker!!! Wait for ittttttt.....! So if you'd like to be a patreon that would be great. And as always. ....no pressure! NO Pressure? You're about to have another mouth to feed, clothing to buy, college to save for. Wow!!! You seem very calm, cool, and collected. I love it 😆 Best of luck to you and dolores

haha...thanks Christine. Well, I've always said that I don't want anybody to feel like they HAVE to support me via Patreon. And I would hate for anybody who is struggling financially to support me. But if they are comfortable and dig the show, and want to support it - awesome. But everybody will still get all of the same videos, etc... We are anxious of course - but we've been planning for this for a while, so hopefully it all goes as we're hoping :)

This is perfection. Great editing, great music, great narration, GREAT wood working. I'm a father myself (three boys). The way you tell the story of how you're preparing for the birth of your own child is priceless. This for me is what makes everything, including wood working, meaningful. All the best for you and your family.

Beautiful Dresser. I totally agree with you making furniture that will follow them through life. A constant reminder of a parent's love when having a tough day. I have always wanted to make beds for my children but, sadly I never had children to make beds for. Now that I have married late in life, a wonderful woman who brought three amazing adult sons into my life, I look forward to making furniture for their kids some day. I really like you video style, and plan to begin filming myself shortly. Congrats on the birth of your son, many blessings for you and your family.

Love this piece and many others you make. I also enjoy your videos not just for the demonstration purposes, but also the quirky humor with which you tell your stories. To you it's probably nothing but natural, but it does add to the overall quality of the video you make. A slightly late sentiment, but congrats on your expanding family! Hope everyone is well.

I appreciate the music in your videos so much! Took me a while to realize why I hate music in other build videos and not yours, and it's because your guitarist actually plays and makes music. Unlike the canned soundtracks of others that never resolve and just repeat the same 12 bars. Thank you Chris (and Chris)!

I've been meaning to tell you, I've used actual 3M 1080 vehicle wrap to face my door in my garage. Came out looking darn near perfect. You can face them with the wrap and use an edge band/vaneer triming tool to cut it without wrapping all the way around the sides. I just pre-painted the doors white so it would look a little cleaner. Wouldn't mind chatting more about it if you wanted.

First: congrats! Second: awesome work (as usual) Third: quick tip - painting mdf with exposed edges? before you prime the panel seal the edges with one or two coats of wood glue or white elmers. sand between coats of glue. you’ll save yourself a coat or two and the edge will have exactly the same look as the face. takes extra time but the results are killer.
