Modern buses just seem so disposable nowadays, clearly not made to last like the Routemasters.

Routemaster were made with 2 or 3 rebuilds in mind. These buses are designed for scrapping after 12 to 15 years or less. They will cover over 1 million miles. People say they have life left in them but many components are well and truly worn out.
