Perfect timing! I bought the same paper pad and a 2nd pad after it came because i love it so much. I just completed 4 Christmas cards using an MFT sketch, per your videos. Makes me so happy that tomorrow I can use my precious peppermint card pad and follow along with your video! You are so generous. Thank you.

Yes, absolutely LIVE LIVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! I purchased this paper earlier and I was so grateful you had also and shared the cards you made with it!! I’ll be copying you!! Thanks for all you do!!! I think I’ve asked before, but didn’t see a response so I’ll ask again 😆 Is there a resin you always glue things upside down then turn it? Does it make it easier to do it straight??

Kristie, these cards are great and I love that you donate so many to charity, that makes my heart smile. I have one question.: so today you did 10 different sketches, when you get the paper pack do you pick out the sketches for all 10 and then cut out all the pieces for them all then put them together or do you do one sketch and cut and put those together before picking and cutting those out? I am thinking of attempting to try this. Maybe not 40 at once but maybe a few of a few different sketches. How long does it take to do this many?
@MelanieCravens2 жыл бұрын
Heidi, she usually says on her 6x6 paper pad videos that it takes 5-6 hours and she usually speeds them up so videos aren't so long. This one doesn't seem to be at 4x speed but I think it is probably still longer than it seems. I'd say at least 2-2.5 times as long. Remember, she only shows making 1 of each card but has made more. That doesn't mean you can't break it up and only do one sketch a day/week/etc. Go as slow as you need to. I do!

Thank you so much! This was a fun paper collection to use. I love sharing my cards with others. If I can brighten someone's day just a little, that makes me happy. When I start on a video like this, I usually pull out a few sketches I think will work well with the paper. But for the most part, I work with one sketch at a time. I cut out all of the papers for one sketch, so 4 cards. I assembled 3 of the cards off screen and set aside the last prepped card to record. I did this for all of the cards. I had a large stack by the time I was ready to record everything. Lol! I didn't keep track of my time, but it was about 2 days of prepping so maybe 5 or 6 hours. I always suggest to take it one sketch at a time. Finish that set of cards before moving onto a new sketch. Maybe try just 2 with each sketch. You may find you love the sketch and want to make more. Have fun and don't let it overwhelm you. Happy crafting! 💖

Beautiful cards! When you layer - what is the difference between 1st and 2nd layer of paper? Do you allow 1/4" or less?
@KristieMarcotte2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I generally add 1/8" for my cardstock layers. For this set of cards, I added 1/4" for most of the background cardstock layers.
@jillianlocklear87572 жыл бұрын
Hi Kristie! Where do you usually get your cardstock from?
@KristieMarcotte2 жыл бұрын
Hello! I purchase most of my colored cardstock from my local Joann's. I buy the individual 12x12 sheets when it's on sale. I've also started purchasing cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I love their kraft color.
