Back before having photos at our fingertips, I guess I could've told all my friends that I had an "in-home salon" and no one would've even known....lol. It's comforting to know that laying on your kitchen counter was more common than I thought 😊

For years, my Mom washed my hair at the kitchen sink w/me laying on the countertop! Wish I had pics of this. She claimed that “one day she would have to cut a hole in the wall” as I was growing taller! TFS … brought back a precious memory!

It looks like your daughter has beautiful hair and it’s wonderful that she trusts you to cut it! My mother washed my hair in the same way and I had many many many home perms and most of them were terrible lol! However, it was the style and that’s what we did! I love that. She gave herself permission to be Gladys! I liked your tip about the hole punch in the center for fussy cutting! Such a simple tip but so smart! Loved your take on the sketch and thanks for sharing your talent!

Thank you so much, Kelly! Her hair is THICK and so pretty! It's starting to get some texture to it so it tangles more which isn't fun but I'm glad she will have these memories to look back on later 😊

Thank you for that tidbit about not having to use ephemera that matches the theme of the photos. I have been guilty of believing that & and now I see why I don't like some of my albums especially one of them as it is so stilted & yes, that is the correct word - my albums are stilted because I didn't know that the ephemera could be totally non related to the theme. Jayma mentioned in her day 13 video about just using leaves on a layout that I watched before your video & now you stated this & bingo!! Suddenly the light switch has gone on in my brain. Unbelievable!! So definitely thank you !!!

Speaking of bad perms.m I gave my self a perm. I have naturally curly hair. Oh my goodness!n I looked Ike a poodle for two years and got grounded for a month.

Oh, goodness! That reminds me of the time me and my best friend did our own color job with "temporary" color that was supposed to wash out in 6 washes. What they meant, was if you washed your hair once a month. NOT A GOOD LOOK and I'm soooooo thankful there are no photos to prove that my hair was a deep shade of burgundy for about 6 months...ugh
