BOBS YOUR UNCLE is British saying. In 1887, British Prime Minister Robert Gascoyne-Cecil appointed his nephew Arthur James Balfour as Minister for Ireland. The phrase 'Bob's your uncle' was coined when Arthur referred to the Prime Minister as 'Uncle Bob'. Apparently, it's very simple to become a minister when Bob's your uncle!

I email links to myself and, once there in my mail, I move them to my drafts folder. That way I don't have to worry they aren't on the device I am using. I can get to my email from most of my devices. Also, I adore your grandchildren stories. Grandkids are just the best.

Putting the circle with the brad through the edge of your page would make a cute flip out or hanging it over the page as a removable "journaling tuck spot" would be cute, also. I love watching your videos and down home conversation. Sharing your oops moments makes you relatable. Blessings to you and Mr. Whit.

We also use "Bob's Your Uncle" in Canada. We also say "Well I'll be a monkey's uncle" when something amazingly simple happens that you wouldn't have thought of. I have a 2 1/2" circle punch that I have made those pockets/tucks with but never thought of putting a ribbon through them like you did as in a tag ♥ I love the little bookplates/tags that you stamped. I have tiny ones from a dollar store so thank you for the ideas ♥ ☺♥

Hi, a book plate is also a deccorated paper label with your name on it that you put on the inside front cover of a book to show it belongs to you in case you loan it to someone. They are usually about the size of a wallet photo. Gloria

"Bob's your uncle" is a phrase commonly used in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries that means "and there it is" or "and there you have it" or "It's done". Typically, someone says it to conclude a set of simple instructions or when a result is reached. The meaning is similar to that of the French expression "et voilà!" or the American "easy as pie" or "piece of cake".
