Do you have to go through and sand all the rusty crusty down now and weld in new patch panels?

The floors are pretty much gone so complete new pans are ready to go in. We will be cutting up to the good metal and placing in the new floors instead of completely drilling out all the factory spot welds since the metal looks good around the perimeter. Good amount of crust to still get out!

Which green? The car used to be green but the entire floors are coming out anyway 👍🏼

Only way to do this right is bring it somewhere to have it media/sand blasted. Some services come to your home and blast it. For the love of Mike please do not use some cheesy substitute like POR-15 over a half-done floor. If you see rust, it's still there. If you do not blast what is left it's going to come through. Blast and and epoxy prime it. Also, if it can be saved, save the original floor like you are doing. To do a full floor replacement correctly is incredibly time consuming and past most peoples' skill level.

Check out the latest released video. Went ahead and ground the perimeter of the pans to prepare to butt weld the new pans. Definitely a huge job to replace them entirely with all the spot welds/fitting new pans but since the metal still looks good we will go the other route.
