Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Suggestion: Drone Dethrone. Each build a quadrotor/quadthruster drone with set number of powercores for lift and set number of powercores for thrust & stabilization. Also, the drones must not rise above a set altitude.

Dethrone: Speed Edition. Basically if you go above 50 km/h you blow up or your engines detach if you go slower than that for 3 seconds. This is a bit kinder than the original Speed, but it's probably a fair compromise between fun and frustration.

Having to hit an exact speed just sounds like hell, frankly. Keep the upper speed limit, but not the lower one, or vice versa, but not both.

How are you claiming the crown if you have to move all the time?

In Scrapman's most recent Speed-like, each of the players had a minimum forwards velocity to travel at to arm the bomb. If the arming velocity is 80 km/h (~50 MPH) and the detonation velocity is 50 km/h (~30 MPH), then it theoretically will give some leeway between needing to repair and needing to run. On second thought, it's probably just going to result in runaway wins, with the chasers never being able to catch the chased once they got the Crown. What kind of idiot would ever think this was a good idea?

Idea: Dog fight with planes built with no lift surfaces. Only use wedges as we know from sound barrier videos they have quite strong effect at high speed. No wings, gyros and quantom rudders for increased difficulty.

Heres a idea for you, in scrap mechanic have a "train defense battle" with 2v2 train teams beside each other tracks where they have guns/cannons on/in them. Have The tracks go around the map, they can go above and below each other on some parts of the track. After each round the losing team of that round can add a plate of metal on their train. Rules: no thrusters and shooting the wheels/track. The engine and carts can only have a metal frame but everything else must be made with wood durability like blocks. Only one weapon for each cart. The round only ends if the train can't move. You can choose the other specific options.

suggestion for a dethrone mode.. only raw jets allowed (no staggering the thrust and use logic to make it so that when you hit the boost button it fires till they over heat so you cant feather them) and use either hover pads or skis only. i think that you should have every one set up a drag device that activates over a certain speed that you can ramp up every round. like round one have the device kick on at 50 mph (people MAY be able to boost faster than that but theyll immediately start to slow down to that speed after the engines overheat) round 2- 100mph and so on ittd kinda sorta be like 3d asteroids but instead of dodging stuff your trying to hit it.

@@Samuel-u5j5y Yep. It would force them to still want to maintain the highest degree of functionality they can based on the original design. That or original style evolution where they all take and evolve the winning vehicle, but I would prefer they keep a large degree of variation.

Also, the wheels of a train are slight tapered, the horizontal cylinder of the actual wheel itself is, to allow it to turn more easily rather than catching and skipping due to perfectly even wheels 🌲shaped like a smooth cone in its side cut about an inch from the base with large flat plates on the outside so it doesn't fall off the track

suggestion: flying dethrone BUT use altitude sensors to stay at the same height in order to catch the 'king', ALSO have a button to be able to land in order to collect the crown while its on the ground, no guns needed, unless you want to do the flying tank concept from another vid WITH the added layer of complexity, being the crown hopefully this will work as a way to do flying dethrone

Build Dethrone: each player starts a set distance from the spawn point and has to build a ground vehicle from nothing while the game is going. at any time during the game any player can edit their build, and there are few restrictions. each round everything resets to nothing

Do a multiplayer Monday challenge where you and 3 others make a 1/4 of a hide and seek map. Once everyone is done building you join them together. Teaming is allowed, but you cannot hide in the section that you built. However you can show others where a good spot is. Depending on how big the map is moving could be allowed or you can play sardines.
