With the first working design (before you made the one that reloads) you could have a piston that lowers down with a saw blade attached to it. The you could use chests connected to a dispenser replenish all of the cardboard. And it would result in the saw blade being disconnected from the piston and the spud guns would hold it in place

ricocheting saw blades won’t work cause they have no friction and they won’t bounce without it, and a cow launcher will be very difficult but it’s possible.

I've commented this before, but I'm almost certain now. Impact damage like fall damage and "car crash" damage all are taking into account both the mass of the object and the velocity of it as well. So saw blades have a "cutting edge" that's not the blades but will more easily deal damage to bots and to trees. If you hit with that edge, I think damage is transferred more easily, but the most "physically mechanical" damage you can possibly deal is still compressing a bot into the ground (Physically Mechanical meaning not an explosive or a spud gun.) But even then, it's not really like you need to pound them into the ground. I've found out if you rag doll bots, drive over them while they're rag dolled with a sufficiently thick vehicle, and wait for them go get up; if they stand up underneath your vehicle and don't phase through it they'll end up crushing themselves. Or in another sense, you don't have to go super fast, you just need to be heavy enough to force them into the ground. The damage does need to be clarified as to what does what in the game.

Nice! You could use a gravity-fed system, allowing only one sawblade to go in at a time, and having the magazine be on a system of pistons, and with a button-activated off-weight gyroscope-virbrator to shake the sawblades around, for if/when they get stuck.

I tried making a sawblade launcher once that worked pretty well I used the really slippery orange blocks and set the sawblade on a platform and basically squeezed it with a couple of angled blocks and it just popped out like wet soap and flew quite far! :D

For reloading the Spudgun thing, try vacuum pumps - and filter in cardboard to them (or glass) and then make them pump the cardboard/glass onto the blocks. Yes they have a *massive* hit box, but you can just use either pistons to move it gradually along each (slow though) or a controller and bearings to angle it at the blocks. (Instant)

Idea for your next over engineering machine. You know how Hot Wheels had that whole deal about "CRASH 'EM" with their tracks, because it makes sense to build a huge circuit to only have everything go wrong at the beginning. Could you make either a catapult or some kind of launcher to try to mash two or more bots together? Will they damage each other? Will one obliterate the others? Will they combine like a Contructicon? Like I can see two haybots being shot at each other, but I can also see a contraption that flings two ragdolled Farm Bots at each other and before they leave their launchers a totebot at the mid point is launched straight up and gets sandwiched by the two farm bots. . . . like a red-green-red sandwich.

I think the spud shotgun idea would work if you put all the cardboard saw-blade ammo in a assembly so the you can just detach it and connect it over and have your next shot ready.

If you were the main character of an anime, your power would be to create amazing machines out of seemingly nothing. You would still be Scrap Man. You would have a character arc including you starting out doubting your abilities, and by the end you will realize that you are a gifted man. Your two MC friends are kAN and Durf, who would have the ability to hack anything and create any program in seconds, and who can build whacky machines to serve purposes that wouldn't be normally realized to be important. You as a group would travel through a large land, called Creatia. Your goal? To reach The Tower. Yep, no good name for it. You would have kAN hack the elevator program to floor 3, but beyond that there is a crypt that cannot be solved because you need a physical key which you don't possess. You work your way to the office, retrieve the key, and head to floor 10. At floor 10 you find an explosive core. kAN rigs up the bomb to explode in 20 minutes. You flee to the elevator but find bots in it and get put in prison... inside the rigged tower. Durf makes a giant scissor-like machine to push against the walls, and you use the few pillows to create a small box to sit it. You make 3 total, and you all escape. However, you learn after leaving, when a document from the tower flies at you, that the employees (all are robots, don't feel sad) were never evil.

Nice video. Hmm i wonder if you can dispense cardboard blocks in creative. If so, I'd love to see you try the spudgun transfer method. Do a build where you would only need like 2-3 dispensers that can load the cardboard and then you only need to get out to place the saw blade. I'm thinking shooting it on to an existing block with a bearing may work but idk.

6:21 you could have it load like a shell of 5 at the back, but connect them with cardboard and have something destroy the cardboard as they get dropped in. then all you need is a slot on the end that drops one blade down. alternatively you could have the cardboard sawblade cartridge, then just cut the one off the end to drop it and load it. so the sequence will be. Empty? Load cartridge Lock cartridge LOOP (1) separate end saw Saw in cradle? piston increment WAIT Saw launched? GOTO (1) The piston can keep incrementing then just reset when it ends.

Replace the saw blades with explosives, but you'll need to figure out how to pad the initial drop of the round, and then make a way to adjust trajectory. Could be useable in survival, as a mortar system.

alternatively, you could use 4 pistons, one set to length 1, then 2, 4,8. That means you could place 7 saw blades with a block of space in between, then delete the space, push forward 7 blocks (by activating pistons 1 2 and 3) then go forward by 1 each time, so piston 4, then 4 and 1, 4 and 2, 4 and 3, 4 + 3 + 1, 4 + 3 + 2, 4 + 3 + 2 + 1
